Keeping track of new Freesat channels?
I don’t have Freesat yet (been waiting until I move house before I get a dish put up), but I’d be interested to know the current TV channel count. Last time I checked there were about 80 channels. (I’d heard it was supposed to be 200 by last Christmas. Was this target met?)
Is there some place I can keep up to date on all the new (and maybe upcoming) Freesat channels? I’m interested in both the standard Freesat channels (with the EPG), and all the FTA channels too. For the FTA channels, is this list comprehensive and up-to-date? (And does it include every Freesat channel?): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...nels_in_the_UK Also, just wondering: how come there’s now a separate forum for “Freesat+”? Is this really such a vastly different subjectmatter? I don’t see why PVR owners should be sectioned off into a separate forum, and miss all the “Freesat” threads that are entirely relevant to them. ![]() Finally, sorry to start a new thread for this! I know there was a dedicated channels thread last year but I can’t find it now. (Shouldn’t there be a sticky here with all the latest info about Freesat channels?) |

The "Joinfreesat" channel list is updated as soon as a new channel is added (or removed).
![]() http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/index.php/freesat-channels The Freesat+ forum was simply set up to seperate all the recorder problems and questions from general freesat enquiries. It became very messy until they were seperated. ![]() For all things freesat related. http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/ Freesat Changelog Sticky http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=794087 |

Thanks Snoods!
What about all the FTA channels? Is the Wikipedia list accurate? I wonder how come nobody really seems to be talking about the FTA channels. All the emphasis is on the standard Freesat channels, but the only difference is that there’s no EPG for the others, right? |

Personally I thought it was much better when it was all in one place. Never been able to understand why it had to be separated:
![]() Much better having all HDR queries in the one place, and general freesat questions in it's own forum. (IMO). (Same as Sky+ has)
