Spam sms

This week i have started to get all sort of rubbish sent to my phone,... join this, poker games, flirting type of things all sorts really.

How do I go about stopping these, really annoying

Reply to them with the words STOP ALL.

I tried that with three of them, they just seem to keep coming from different numbers.
Also noticed im being charged for replying "stop" so dont want to keep doing this.
Can I do anything else ?

Yes complain to phonepayplus and they will be followed up with / fined if they are premium rate operators and you have not given permission.

Be careful though, sometimes when you sign up to sites you have agreed to share your details with 3rd parties and services that you might be interested in, that's why I never put my real number in and make sure I don't tick the box that says they can share my details.

Register your phone number on here ' TPS ' and it should stop them in the future.

Its illegal to send a marketing SMS that has not been requested. So the TPS are the wrong people to contact (there is nothing to opt out of). If its a premium message the regulator is phonepayplus, if its an SMS then complain to the Information Commissioner.
