WHY do E4 show prolonged shots of the same contestant, even when they are asleep in bed(for eg). I thought Id watch a bit of live coverage lunchtime today. What did I get?, 30 Mins of Brian asleep in bed. rivetting stuff. There were other people up and about, why not show them?. this happens a lot, you get prolonged close ups of someone doing nothing, whilst other stuff is going on, yet they dont show it?. Yesterday night, during the party, we had prolonged shots of elizabeth putting her paint on, why?..why not show the others who were clearly (from the sound of it) doing something interesting.
It seems to me that (mostly) the director shows shots of people without any regard to the context and the events happening around them.
when they are having a conversation, why not show the person talking more often?, yes, have a few seconds of the people listening, but not prolonged shots for 10-15 mins on end.

rant over

i know exactly what you mean. i was thinking the same thing, im sure that camera has been fixed on Brian for at least 2 hours now!!

Problem is as you said you can hear Helen in the background shouting and stuff so you know something more interesting is going on,grrrrrrrrrr =/

The Live A feed (to all E4 viewers) this morning was first on Dean in bed. then on Brian when Dean got up.

Live B (Sky dig only) showed the others - Elizabeth and Helen doing the shopping list, then having a bit of a girly chat.

Surely it would have been better to have these the othere way round.
