iPhone Vs BlackBerry - your choice?
My contract is up in a couple of weeks and I can have a free upgrade.
The two phones of note that I can have are an iPhone and a BlackBerry (Curve) They both obviously have their pros & cons. But if you had to choose between them, which one would you choose? Thanks. I'm with o2. |

Is that the new curve? or the older one.
I think it depends on what you want it for, but personally I would go for the iphone. I have a blackberry Pearl and an Iphone 3G. I much prefer the iphone, but I havent used one of the newer blackberry models like the storm which is touch screen and has fast internet speed. The pearl is not 3G so the browser speed is really slow, it also does not play youtube videos. The iphone is really easy to use and has many useful applications that you can buy. Blackberry have launched the Apps world which is suppose to be similar to the Apple apps store, I have no idea what is in there because it does not work with my model. I got the pearl last year and personally it was a big disapointment, the only added feature I gained was the push email. I think it has put me off getting another blackberry. I would go with the iphone everytime |

Get the curve
. That phone is just great. I have it. I receive my emails instantly, able to send and receive them any time i want. No problem with coverage. I'm with t mobile.I have apps such as google maps, facebook, twitter, windows live which all work great. The apps for blackberry are suited more to the newer blackberry like the curve, bold or storm rather than the pearl. And you can purchase anything you want from App world too. iphone just know how to advertise better i guess but the blackberry is a gem!! I also love the keyboard, i am used to having to press one key for 3/4 letters and LOL now my texts are more faster! Keyboard no different to a laptop!!! The camera on the phone is amazing. great shots bother inside and just WOW with outside pics! Video is real good quality aswell. The internet works well on mine too. Youtube stream is smooth and clear, very much the high quality they advertised it would be. I would purchase Blackberry 8900 curve over iphone everytime!! look on here for my specific specifications of the blackberry - http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices...errycurve8900/ |

I don't think you can beat the Iphone on apps. You can get a piano, a digeridoo, harmonica on it. You can get vmail voice email very useful. There is the Facebook app allows you to instantly upload pictures to FB instantly after taking them. In fact just had a thought how it could save a lot of trouble women could take photos on a night out of the cab they are driving ins registration number and one of the driver and upload. Then have their 'say who' voice activated dialing going if anything untoward happens they could automatically have the driver traced. Not that all cab drivers are dubious but would make nights out way more safer for ladies. Gotta get an iphone people. You can even get an intercom monitor for the phone which dials up a set number if there are any sudden noises in the room, the ultimate affordable security device. Also an app to make the iphone into a megaphone or a mic for ya PC you can't wrong with the 3G, I love it.

Very different to the Blackberry Pearl, I find it much easier to use. Loads of applications available for it which are useful, google maps, twitterberry, facebook etc. |

You can also get the Piano, spirit level and some of the other toys that the iPhone has from the BlackBerry App world. I have to admit that there are alot more apps available from apple at the moment as their App store has been running a lot longer than BlackBerries which only opened this month. |

I have used the iphone and hated it. It's very unreliable and it's Apples worst product.
The new Curve is great so I highly recommend getting a Blackberry definitely. I love mine

The BB Facebook app is awfully basic compared to the iPhone one.
In what way? It's basically the same!!The facebook on the curve is the same as if you are on the net. You get beeped everytime someone, leaves a wall message, comments on your status or sends a message! Plus you can easily upload pics to your facebook and you can do the same on the Twitterberry, it's a great app also. |

I'd wait.. strong rumours suggest that Apple will be announcing the third generation iPhone in June, releasing it in July. I wouldn't bother with a blackberry

Depends what you want it for. I would say the iPhone (at least with the 3.0 software) is way ahead of any touch screen Blackberry, but some people prefer physical keyboards.
Certainly web access on the iPhone is better than any other platform. Phazer |

I went to the shop and had a look, both handsets are a bit fiddly to use, I did like the BlackBerry Bold rather than the Curve, but again the iPhone looks easy enough to get round. I'm still a bit undecided, going to check the tariffs on both, maybe that will have some bearing on the decision.
