I think your view is slightly coloured but apart from your obvious hatred of the man the film doesn't show anything like what you suggested and the majority view even from those that don't like Simon confirm this.

"We all know what he's like" - roughly translated, that means you don't really know anything about him or the shows he's involved in except what you've seen in the media, & if you saw him at an audition he sent you packing. As long as the girls/women he goes for are of legal age & he's not cheating on someone else to see them, it's none of your business or anyone else's how he spends his private life. If he's as bad as you'd like to believe, he'd not stay friends with his ex-girlfiends, who not only laugh at him but still keep him in their lives. So, while you may have lost sleep over his opinions, something tells me he really wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over yours.

If you're good enough to succeed at what you do, determination & hard work will get you there regardless of Simon. He's just one person - he's very powerful in his field, but he's not the only decision-maker. Take That did it though Simon apparently didn't rate them. Will Young did it though Simon told him his voice was "distinctly average". Steve Brookfield didn't do well for long, though he was Simon's winner all those years ago. Those are three examples to show you that Simon doesn't always get it right, & I'm pretty sure he already knows that. But talent, acknowledging that you still have a lot to learn & being prepared to work hard rather than just expecting the goodies to drop in your lap will get you there in the end.

There are few things more unattractive & more annoying than whinging failures, especially those that whinge because they think they know/are better when everyone else can see they're incapable of doing better & won't try. Not everyone can headline a major venue, or star in the West End, or get a part in a major film, but aiming to do the best you can is better than complaining because things haven't gone your way or the way you expected. Simon's contracts make it clear what you're getting & what's expected of you - hard work, probably more than you've ever done before. If you're not prepared to do your part, then to quote someone whose name escapes me "Move along - there's nothing to see".

I like the way you say "We all know what he's like" when no one else in this thread is even coming close to agreeing with you. No one.

Who is this "we" you're talking about?

Well not on here because there seems to be a Simon Cowell fan club theme going on. Most people would tend to agree with me, even though there not forth coming.

She made an arse of herself.

Why because she stood up to Simon Cowell, and wasn't going to let him walk all over her?

If she'd had a talent to defend to Simon, then maybe she could've owned him.

But she didn't, and, she didn't.

But he's the judge, he's there to judge her talent and it is pretty obvious that he knows what he is talking about. I'm sure he's made wrong decisions in the past, but let's face it, he owns/manages/produces one of the biggest selling chart acts in history, he's had loads of other major selling acts, he's doing something right.

They weren't good enough to get through, he told them that, she had a tantrum. He wasn't up on that age claiming he could dance and win BGT, so that point didn't work, she then went on (I think) to say that she wasn't a good judge but she wasn't complaining about it. That point also fails, because his whole job there was to judge her. If he'd said she was good, she would have trusted her opinion, you can't change your mind about someone just because they say you're not very good. He was right.

In my opinion.

Really? I'd like to see some checkable stats for that please.

You, like many of his critics, can't seem to separate the person from the job. People who understand why he's on the show get classed as his fan club, just because they can see that he's not there to do the one thing too many people would love him to do, which is tell them they're great, they're talented & they're through to the next round, maybe even tell them they're the eventual winner. The judges can only let a certain number of people through, & a large dose of delusion paired with little imagination & even less talent does not make for an entertaining act. The people auditioning for that show & any other that he's a judge for know that he's going to be very honest with them about what he thinks of them, but they still apply, & when they're told they've got an audition they turn up for it. If the "not so pretty in pink" two-some had been praised, they wouldn't have had a bad word to say about him - they'd have been repeating every compliment like a mantra, telling people how nice he was, etc. But because he's done his job, which is ultimately to make sure he still has one long after many clomping pebble-throated icons-in-their-own back-yard contestants have left the stage, they & others like them are criticising him.

Something to be considered is this. If "most people would tend to agree" with you, where do all the hundreds of thousands of applicants for the various shows he's involved with come from? Why would so many of those same people be watching the show, every show that he's involved with, knowing that they'll have to face him & may be shown on tv doing so? Why would so many people be applying to go on those shows in the first place, here & across the world, & why are those numbers increasing?

If I were that girl (I'm not btw ), I'd be hiding in shame.
There is nothing whatsoever for which to commend her .
