Battery cover wont close properly - Nokia N95
Donno what happened but today my battery cover keeps sliding off. I hav'nt dropped the phone and none of the protruding plastic bits on the battery cover are broken. The cover slips into place nicely but doesn't lock shut if you know what I mean.
Im guessing its got something to do with The Silver release button on the back of the phone, but it looks ok? Im tempted to wedge a little screw driver under the release button to see if pushing it up slightly will help. Any thoughts guys? |

It's a pretty common issue from what I've seen. The simplest solution is to put Blu-Tac underneath the cover so that it sticks to the inside of the phone

Good idea, Nice one... Upon upon closer inspection it looks like one of the small plastic tabs on the inside of the phone has snapped off! There's a Nokia service centre near to me, I'll pop in and see how much they'll charge.
Now where did I put the blu tac! |

Yeah it will be the small plastic tabs, theres 4 of them - 2 on each side.
They break very easily. You could get new covers, will cost about £10 - £15, if you look carefully you should find just the battery cover very cheaply on ebay. Warning though the cheap covers are crap, the buttons that come with them rub off and they are generally very badly made. If you're going to get replacement covers then get some slightly better ones that the sort you see on markets etc |

The cover is fine....The plastic tab thats has broken is the one on the actual phone, where the battery cover slides under, not the actual battery cover itself. Don't think this will be a easy/ cheap fix. I woudln't mind if I had dropped my phone or something but I didn't!
