Memo to Claudia. Don't forget your make up bag on Wednesday, you look awful without make up.

I found it very boring to be honest, and I loved the previous series.

Claudia looks out of place, Marco's ego is enormous, the "celebrities" show very little, to no, potential at all and hardly anything happened in the 60 minutes it was on for.

I think, when HK and TA, go head to head on wednesday at 9pm, HK is going to lie down and get walloped.

I was wondering what had happened to Cliff Richard.

It seems MPW fired Angus Deyton and hired Winkelman, whats the betting some jumped up creep is gonna win this show if its up to Marco then.

Well, not exactly a surprise that Ade was made a waiter, considering Barry McGuigan had helpfully given the game away 20 minutes earlier...

Was surprised to see a Peperami ad in one break (with I think Ade's voice) - I always thought there was a rule that an actor couldn't feature in an ad during a programme he/she was also in? Maybe I'm mistaken.

Maybe if its if you're physically in the advert and not just a voice?

Anyway Claudia was a little ... odd tonight. Not herself at all and I usually like her. But that said I still found her better than Angus.

Just rather haggard. Much older than she normally looks. Perhaps I'm used to seeing her with 3" of make-up on.

I adore Claudia, she was the main reason i watched. But she did look VERY odd. Seemed to be squinting a lot, which didn't help.

I've never really watched HK before, but I can't see how MPW has the sort of authority that the role needs. He just comes across as an obnoxious tosser. It's only cooking, for Christ's sake!

Who'd have thought Angus Deayton added so much to this show? Marco is an absolute tit for what he's said about him, and the producers are morons if they've allowed him to force Angus out.

When there is tedium in the kitchen, in the past you could at least look forward to a dry link from Angus delivered in a way only he can.

Winkleman was awful. Aside from looking bizarre without her usual tonne of eye makeup, the lines they gave her didn't suit and her little off-script squeals were embarrassing.

Is this a thread about the presenters? I thought the show was poor as the celebs didn't cook as far as I could see just heated things up...... Hope it improves as I thought tonight was poor

I agree with you and thought the show got off to a boring start with no 'characters' as such amongst the 'celebs'!

Angus is definitely missed!! Also there seemed to be more time used up on flipping adverts!!!!

I saw in a couple of papers that Anthea and hubby got £100,000 for appearing!

HK 2007 was far ahead of tonight's offering: the budget cuts are showing.

Grant looks like George Bush, Jr., with bigger ears...and seems to be a tosspot.

Anthea needs to update her hair style

Claudia looks like an orange. In a dress. I'm not surprised MPW walked away from her orangeyness when she stood at the pass.

MPW: where has his passion gone? The show he did in the US bombed and I think he's recycling some of his 'lines' from that. all that crap about the punishing them by being a waiter...I don't get the humiliation of that 'demotion'? when was this explained to people? he. just. talks. in. keywords.

I hope That bloke on the crab wins

You summed that up brilliantly. It's exactly what me and my family were saying. I used to look forward to Angus's dry comments and asides. Claudia is NO replacement and just looked bizarre in that outfit tonight. I had to turn the colour down on my TV because it was so bright!

Not really. Legions of women since time immemorial have been attracted to barstewards like him.

That's the most commonly quoted figure, yes. Whether or not it's true, it's more likely to be nearer the mark than some so called figure of £8,000. Let's face it, would Linda Evans Jet over for 8 grand? Despite being past her prime, that would be petty cash to her.

And as far as I recollect, Clancy was paid £20,000 and jumped at it because of the guaranteed mag deals.

Oh it was alright. Marco has obviously had a massive ego trip and taken over - getting Angus the boot - but it was ok. The show is now about Marco. Fair enough, I'll watch it from that perspective.

Complaints?

You can't really judge from tonight's episode how well people did.
Also didn't there use to be an ITV2 aftershow? What happened to that. (Or have I watched too many reality tv shows and just expect that...)
Claudia? God she usually looks stunning. Tonight... well.... (maybe it was the dress?)

Claudia is already annoying me with her hair flicking............for god`s sake woman clip it back from your eyes or get it bloody cut - She looked really quite ugly what with her squinting and her day-glo skin - she looked like an anorexic orange Grant is already teacher`s pet.........Yes Marco, No Marco Linda is like an ad for a bad plastic surgeon

I found it too slow paced last night. It took so long before anything really actually started and then I wanted to fastforward past Marco because of how damn long he took to say anything!

Claudia looked really weird. I normally find her to be quite pretty but it looked like there was something wrong with her face last night - LOL, I can't find a better way to phrase that

He will probably start doing his lessons from now on. The first show is always a "throw you in at the deep end immediately and see who sinks" affair.

Claudia mucked up at the end as well, she could hardly say the sentence, and then said something along the lines of 'Join us tomorrow night' - and was obviously then told that the next time they're on is Wednesday!
