How many times do you see them?

I've not been very good at watching the other two series and I wondered what happens after the "yes" first auditions?

Do they go straight to the live shows and then the final?

Also, I notice that in his first audition Paul Potts sang Nesson Dorma (sorry if I have spelt that wrong!) and he also sang it in the final.

George Sampson also repeated his singing in the rain routine in the final.

Don't they have to do new pieces for each performance? It seems a shame that they can't find something new for just that many shows... or maybe I am getting it all wrong as I don't really know the format of the show?!

Hi, they dont seem to have to do new performances for each round it seems, i thought they did but obviously not.

Regards the format, there can be any number of yes's from the auditions then after the 6 weeks are over the 7th weeks show is when Simon, Piers and Amanda sit in the room watching the tapes back and looking at the polaroids of the acts, eventually whittling them down to a top 40 from whatever number they started. they then go into the nightly semifinals and grand final.

This is it summarised (if i have it right).

Saturday April 11th - Audition show 1
Saturday April 18th - Audition show 2
Saturday April 25th - Audition show 3
Saturday May 2nd - Audition show 4
Saturday May 9th - Audition show 5
Saturday May 16th - Audition show 6

Saturday/Sunday May 23rd/24th - Top 40 Decision

Monday May 25th to Friday 29th - Nightly semi finals (8 acts in each)

Saturday May 30th - Grand Final (10 acts)
