Looking for a new TV

Hi all,

Was wondering if someone could advise on which TV would be best to go for.

We're looking at around £600 (yeah, not a massive budget.) and will be happy with 37" (but would stretch to a slightly bigger if possible.) EDIT: We've currently got a 32/34" CRT.

The TV will be used for:
SKY (possibly update to HD at some point)
XBOX 360
Wii
Sony DAVDZ260 - DVD Player/Built In home cinema thing.
VCR (don't shoot me - i want it gone but others still use it!)

I plan to connect the XBox via HDMI or VGA and the Wii via Component. The DVD also has HDMI so will probably use that too.

If someone could point me in the right direction, that'd be great. I can't see me needing 1080p, but obviously if theres a good set out there for my budget that comes with it, I'll take it.

I've been looking at a Panasonic Viera TX-P37X10B, which from Richer Sounds is around £580 incl their 5 year warranty, but will that be good for us?

Thanks

It's a nice TV and I would choose it over a budget Full HD LCD, although not many other people would! If you have a CRT now then presumably the cost of a stand will need to be included in your budget?

Have you checked out either Whathifi.com or Homecinemachoice.com for their reviews - see what they say though bear in mind if it's a discounted model it may be a year or two old now.

Sony KDL37V4000 is a very good full HD TV well within your budget (if you buy at Amazon !)
