Hi All,
I have a RDR-HDX995 which in general I 'am really pleased with. The ease of use is great, even my non-techie father can use it no probs
However, I have a number of titles which I wish to put from the HDD to DVD. I have gone through the steps in the manual, all about Dubbing, but am confused
The recording on the HDD are in SP record mode. When I come to record them onto the DVD using High Speed Dubbing, the file size doubles, thus meaning I can't fit anything on to a disc as it's too big.
The only way is to dub in 'real time'
Whats the point of High Speed Dubbing, if nothing will fit on a DVD????
To get something that would fit you would have to record it in EP, SLP or SEP modes, and then High Speed Dubbing is not supported for these modes. So it still wouldn't work.
That is unless I read the manual wrongly, and I'm doing something wrong.
Any help on this would be most welcome.
Everything else on this recorder I'am really pleased with, so this is a bit of a let down at the moment. I had a Lite-on HDD/DVD record before I got this Sony, and you just selected the titles you wanted and pressed HDD > DVD and it burnt the disc (about 30mins for a full disc, no problem). None of the modes/High dubbing, ratio stuff????
Anyway, sorry to rant, any help on this, like I say would be most welcome.
