I know that there are many Susan threads at the moment but this is very specific.

I see that there is a lot of views on you tube and I feel I am contributing to it. I have watched it about 20 times (and I was away on Easter Sunday)

Anyone else and has the novelty worn off yet?

I love the close up of the audience rolling their eyes at her and then from the moment she starts they are hit between the eyes?

Id estimate about 6 times. I just hope her next performance at least equals it because people's expectations are going to be huge now after all the hype which has been built around the world. I know there's a long way to go but it would be surprising if anyone else wins the show now after all the hearts she has touched with her performance.

Lots and I've YouTube-shared-it with a lot of my friends.... the next question is, how many boxes of tissues have you got through!?

I watched it once, because I saw a blog post about something completely unrelated that mentioned it, and I didn't have any idea who they were talking about.

I didn't even watch it all the way through, though I did listen to it all.

Once, then I watched Ruthie Henshall's (much better) version a couple of times.

Susan's great but this performance is really over-hyped. You can't even hear a lot of what she's singing because the audience's roaring nearly drowns her out for quite a bit of it.

I saw her on the show last Saturday; was impressed, and looking forward to seeing her in next round, but can't be bothered to look at her again on youtube.

I'm not sure - probably about 15 times - maybe more. No the novelty hasn't worn off. Her performance was beautiful and I'm sure I'll watch it many more times

I've watched it a few times. I always chuckle at the uber sarcastic comments regarding the young girl seen looking in disgust when Susan says she's going to sing.

Same here. It's probably because I keep hearing about it on radio and tv that's putting me off watching it again.

Yes it was. I spoke to my niece on the phone tonight and she'd seen it and knew all about Susan!

I didn't realise it was Ruthie Henshall singing but I watched the 10th Anniversary performance on the strength of Susan's performance to see how it compared and I much preferred Susan's.

Whoever is "managing" Susan should remember that too much publicity can make a person unpopular. Sooner or later, when the show itself gets under way, there will almost undoubtedly be those who start saying she has an unfair advantage because of all the publicity. I think the Show's gain could be Susan's loss.

I don't much care for Ruthie's version at all as it's too slow in my opinion. It just seems to drag on when listening to it, whereas Susan's version, that has a tempo that keeps you pulled in as it were. I'm not denying that Ruthie has a better voice, because if I said any different, I'd just be deluding myself, but as I've said, Susan's version has a much better tempo than Ruthie's.

Why should it be an 'unfair advantage'? It's not Susan's fault if people are starting to notice how good she is. If people didn't want to be noticed, they shouldn't be on the show. I would also guess that anyone going on the show would welcome as much publicity as they could get. It's not like Susan's made a deal with the producers to get publicity for her. It's purely down to people noticing her, that's all.
