He's leaving the show!!!

Just in case you didn't know, it tells you on BBC Puresoap - it doesn't tell you how he leaves, but I think it says he's going to leave suddenly. He's 'been axed' and it being written out of the show!

Don't know if anyone else looks at BBC Puresoap once a week like I do, but it tells you lots of spoilers in the Soap Physic section.

Feel free to discuss how you think he might leave by the way - my rational guess would be he gets killed by a car or something (maybe David's flashy [and fast] BMW/Merc [can't remember which one it is!]).

My irrational guess would be that he kills someone (most likely Karl because of their fued) and gets life imprisonment

I think there is a possibility that his exit won't even be shown.

His axing was very sudden, and while I don't know the exact reason for his dismissal, it was serious enough for the producers to disrupt their storylines. The writers may not have been able to write Joe's exit into the story, so it is quite possible that Joe could be recast until they can wrap up his storyline, or that he just won't be seen onscreen for a while and then one day the characters will mention that he has gone away or died or something.

From what I remember on a thread on here linkign to somewhere else, he was imeediately sacked for smoking a joint on set. I don't have any evidence of this such as links, but thats what I remember...

IMO Neighbours is getting shot of its rubbish actors like Joe and getting very very good new actors in like Sky who has blended into the show so quickly.

I remember when the Skullys first joined and everybody was like oh i hate them it took ages for them to be accepted in the show. To me thats the sign of a weak actor/s.

Yes, but most of them are popular now, especially Steph, who is probably one of the most popular characters on the show now.

Any sources you'd like to quote on that one? It's very unlikely indeed as there has been no criminal investigation which you would assume if this was true.

WWW.Erinsborough.com message boards seem to have come to the conclusion it was a case of him regulary turning up on set drunk, how reliable their sources are I really don't know. It s all going to court so they can fight out the contract, but everybody who does know seems to be keeping quiet.

Shame, he was a good character but I will reserve my judgement until we have some facts.

This is fairly old news BTW I think it all happened about 6 weeks ago.

Because Joe's exit will not be shown I think that Lynne will recieve a telephone call or a visit from the police saying that Joe has had an accident at work, and that he died. She goes off to ID the body, then we will get the theme tune. Then in the next episode, she will be at home crying.

Apparently the actor that plays Joe is suing for unfair dismissal.

Beccie - I give you a quote from an Australian Neighbours web-site where they were asking the same questions. I quote:

"Wot r uz readin!! Joe skully got done for indecent exposure in a primary school and is sacked "

I KNEW I had read it somewhere !!

I still find it very hard to believe indeed, if he had got "done" there would be no way of keeping it out of the papers, especially if he was going into primary schools and flashing. On a more personal note I could never take anything written in that format seriously. As I have had i will reserve judgement for when t does get to court, I lean far more to the drinking/taking drugs route as that would warrant dismissal but perhaps not police intervention.

I haven't watched Neighbours for about three weeks and haven't kept up with the spoilers either, do we know about his exit yet?

Apparently we dont see him leave ( I think beacuse when he was sacked he was sacked there and then and didnt work any notice), but he goes to see a sick relative.
And i heard he was caught with drugs on-set (although thats not confirmed ).
The Scullys are the worst family to ever grace Ramsey St, i cant wait till i see the back of all of them. (apart from Steph , she the only interesting one!)

I think the scully's were good in their hey day - but just like the kennedays they are well past their sell by date. However - thats nothing a few good storylines won't fix. They should have had an affair between Joe and Susan. Susan falls pregnant but does not know who the father is. Lynne throws Joe out (but we dont see this) but eventually Karl forgives susan after an earthquake disaster nearly kills her. (the same earthquake destroys the scully's house and they have to move in to Lou's. While in Lous, lou finds Lynnes birth certificate and finds she is cherals sister. Marlene Kratz changed her name in the 50's to prevent Lynne finding her. Marlene returns from Uganda with Colin Taylor, and announces that lynne's father was Benito Allesi. feel free to comment or carry on....

Carry on? I think that's wild enough thanks...

Plus I don't know who half those characters are...

I don't think the Scully's are past their sell by date, some of the things they do are quite interesting. Steph's cancer was a really good dramatic storyline and the other's are good when they have good storylines too. And when I say good storylines, I don't mean Making Mansions (or whatever the hell it's called...) - that's just crap. Although it's brought Valda back (or maybe that was Joe leaving...?) and she's a really good and fun character to be in the show.

Lyn's not threw him out - he's gone away to visit his family who apparently were caught in an accident (although I didn't hear that bit myself - I though it was a disease or something - I knew something had happened...)

Yeah, Pat and Mick got injured and he is away to see them! Funny names considering there are many funny jokes about two guys called Pat and Mick!!!!

Qwik fix storyline to boot Joe Scully (Shane Conor) out of the worst family in Neighbours history. They aren't worthy of living in Helen Daniels/Jim Robertson/Phil Martin's old house!

When the Scully's arrived I genuinely didn't mind the family. They had a few kids moving in with them to cause some havoc and mess with the bloke's of Ramsey Street's hearts, which made for some good entertainment. But each kid has moved on... Flick (Holly Valance) onto trying her luck at a Pop Career, Michelle moved away to New York for an exchange or something which seems to be forever and Steph moved in with Max.

So apart from sprogs Jack, Lynn and Joe's baby Ossie (who won't be doing too much acting at this early stage) and ocassionally Auntie Valda there's not much for Joe and Lynn to do. Whatever the reasons for Shane's departure it maybe a blessing in disguise to shift a few characters around and have a change around. I'd love for Lynn and the rest to still be around in the street, but a new family would breathe some life into the place.

Michelle is back for a six week guest stint soon, and there were rumours that Holly Valance would arrive back to (for Joe's funeral).

Jack will be leaving towards the end of the year, early 2005 as well so ther'll only be Lyn, Steph and Ozzy left. And only Lyn and Ozzy in the Scully house, unless they make Valda permanet.
