Sandalwood - worst mistake ever?
Come on, this HAS to rank in one of the biggest errors in TA history. As if being x10 the cost of cedarwood wasn't enough, they put 450 g IN IT!
![]() Or maybe it won't be as bad if they win

They made a loss. And lost.
So this discussion continues: sandalwood - worst mistake ever? |

Id say 100 chickens is still the worst - that one was just BANG in your face stupid. At least with this one you can sort of see where they went wrong. How nobody spotted the chickens was just shocking.

This was very, very cringeworthy, although I thought it was an easy mistake to make. I mean, the two names were very similar. This was a case of carelessness, rather than stupidity, although it was still an enourmous mistake.

Be fair, the 100 chickens or the non-kosher kosher chicken was the worst mistake ever.

Yeah, an almighty cock up indeed. And it shouldn't have been that hard - just don't choose the most expensive oil on the menu. And you clearly will need more than 3 grams, so double check that, eh?
I wonder if it would have smelt much different with cedar wood? People seemed to really like the smell - and they sold well. Was it the sandal wood, or could they have got away with a cheaper oil? |

Whoever bought the rest of the soaps and bubble bath stuff for £400 should keep hold of that stock. They could easily double the price based on the amount of Sandalwood put in.

And yet the culprit that time survived the boardroom. I sometimes wonder about SAS.
He became such a talking point and production latched onto that. I think we'll have to accept that this is now more about entertainment than finding talent. |

![]() Or maybe it won't be as bad if they win ![]() Their mistake was that when they read the recipe which said '3.0' for the essential oil - the two girls thought it meant 3g, but in fact it meant 3% of the total 'mixture', which worked out at 450g. They knew the cost of the sandalwood, but thought they only needed a tiny amount. The factory gave them the correct amount for the 'recipe' and charged accordingly. |

She is in HR - she admitted to being useless with numbers, but just "useless" would have done.

You'd have thought Yasmina would have noticed that the glass jar full of oils she was pouring into the vat weighed a bit more than 3 grammes

I've been rewatching her reaction on the old iPlayer - had me in stitches again!
"450g?" "No, half of 450 - shit!"

Yeah, I reckon it's the biggest mistake in Apprentice history. They thought the production costs amounted to five pounds but it was actually seven hundred?! That's some mistake. In real life I think all three would have got fired. Not just Debra.

It was a stupid mistake, but not the worst ever. Not if Jenny and Michael and their kosher chicken have anything to say about it.
