Jimmy King, or jimmeh as he is now known has become really popular lately so i thought he deserves his own appreciation thread.

I was also thinking of setting up a thread for his tiny pants but that might be going a little too far

Anyway, discuss all things Jimmy here

We can discuss his tiny pants here if we want to, right?

Anyway, I love Jimmy. Since Matthew's departure he has become my favourite Emmerdale character by a mile or two. What's not to love about him?

Hehe, yep you can discuss his tiny pants as much as you like in here. Just thought a separate thread was a bit much

Jimmy is the best character in Emmerdale at the minute. I have always liked him, but ever since the Kings lost their money, him and Carl have been brilliant together.

Still not keen on Carl otherwise though

Love Jimmy and Nicola together as well
Hope Emmerdale don't mess that one up, can't they just let the poor guy be happy for once

Ah, a worthy thread for the King of Kings

I haven't always liked Jimmy, but he's had his moments, and his recent pairing with Nicola has really brought both characters to the fore with some fantastic lines

That should be a Miles or two - the actor is Nick Miles

Hurrah!

I agree; they do both seem to work a lot better, as characters, now that it's just the two of them. I have a love/hate/hate relationship with Carl, as a character.

Love Jimmy and Nicola together as well

This I agree with, too. After Sadie and Kelly, and everything else, he deserves some happiness.

I love Jimmy. He is funny, sensitive, often generous and by far and away the nicest of the King blokes - even though I have to admit to liking all of them.

I have found myself rather ashamed of finding him unaccountably attractive over the last few weeks - and the tiny pants did nothing to put me off.

I think Nick Miles does a brilliant job adn putting he and Nicola Wheeler together was a masterstroke.

Those pants were a nasty dirty coloured stripy ones. I can still see him sitting on the steps in them.

Despite being very tired I am suffering from insomnia, so I thought I'd take a moment to explain why I love Jimmy King.

His motivation for action is so often driven by a desire to 'do the right thing' adn in a family such as the KIngs this has always been greeted with derision. Jimmy however, does not allow this to stop him. I think that despite a surface demeanor of bluster and self=pity Jimmeh is a surprisingly secure individual (disclaimer, I am not sure I'll agree with myself in the morning). Matthew was the ruthless one and Carl the favoured baby (Max doesn't count because Tom didn't really seem to count him because he wasn't intergral to the business), this left Jimmeh hard workin but largely unnoticed. Long may his reign as the unsung champion of Pear Tree and beyond go on.

I am distinctly afraid of Mark Mylde (he's so carp I can't bring myself to call him Wyl...) and his interest in Jimmeh, I hope Maxwell Caulfield doesn't give Nick Miles any splinters when he's pretending to be a plank of wood next to him...

Most things are better than Carl. I'd wager a bet that an infectious disease would be a lot more fun than Carl.

So i take it most people have forgotten or are either ignoring the fact he used to be a whiny, nasty, selfish little attempted rapist?

Yup.

If you're talking about Sadie - open to interpretation I guess but I took it more as a charade to scare her. That being the case she pretty much deserved it. And whiny, nasty, selfish? Nev-ahh! (Although admittedly my memory is quite bad)

FAIL.

Shun the non-believer!

I forgot that characters can never change, or redeem themselves. Woe, people, woe.

You two paid far too much attention to Jimmeh's pants, it's worrying

Yep, I like Jimmeh and as has been said he's quite a funneh character plus he's from Brum He's free from the shackles of Mr Maff-U and his dad, he's in love so a fun new person is emerging

I like the kings, and especially Jimmy, a lot more now that its just Jimmy and Carl, I think their whole setup with Nicola and Lexie (even though she annoys me) is hilarious and flows very well.

I like to think that Jimmy was just trying to scare Sadie.

I have admit though, that most of Jimmy's likeability has come about in the last couple of years. I think his relationship with Kelly and seeing his caring side with Scarlett have helped.
