Jimmy has developed rapidly since Matthews departure, I can see plenty of longevity left in this character. Easily my favourite character in soap. Great actor too.

Jimmy & Nico genius pairing, lets hope TPTB dont wreck it. The 2 most unlikiest characters together with all that passion, frustration & rucks fantastic. I can see the birth secenes being hilarious, with Jimmy melting over baby king and Nico moaning shes covered in smeg and needs a drink lmao.

One of hte players on 'my' rugby team is called James Nixon and his nickname from the fans is Nico (pronounced variously as Niko and Neeko). Yesterday hearing about 3000 people chanting 'Come on Nico' made me rather oddly think of Jimmy at the birth! It made me smile anyway

Of course, this isn't the real Nick participating, surely? ! If it is, then tell us what you had to resort to doing before you got the part of Jimmy, as you were so skint.

Nick, is ee youre online so ca i just take this opportunity to say i lvoe the way jimmy's character has involved not only recently but since he started in the show. Thanks for potraying such a genuinly likeable character.

I dont know if this aspect is really talkd about a lot, but id like to just say i love jimmy's relationship with scarlet - theres an awesome warmth to that relationship and jimmy seems almost more like a father to her than a brother

Also, who do you think is the person jimmy has been in a relationship with he has suited the most, or least?

Anyway, it's great to see Jimmy with Nicola and good to see they seem to be in it for the long run, much better suited than Kelly was methinks.

I'm sure some look in now and again.

I really like their relationship too Think we'd seen for a while Jimmy's eagerness to be a dad, but Scarlet's arrival has really explored that part of Jimmy's paternal character more fully - he is very caring and protective with Scarlett. Think she also counterbalances Carl's often grumpy disposition nicely in that household with her bubbly, optimistic persona

There wasnt that much warmth a while ago, but i feel that recently, emmerdales characterisation and writing has been getting a lot better, characters have genuine emotions again and this relationship is a prime example of that - such a feel good, happy relationship. yup, i think they all counterbalance each other quite well in the king hosuehold at the momentm everybody seems to fit well, though i would have liked it if mathew was still there, he was a great character played by a very good, in my opinion, actor.
