Amp On My Tv.

Hi Guys

I had a Amp ( NAD 320BEE ) and some Mission speakers connected to my pc. And it sounded fine. But i recently got a new LCD Tv( Panasonic-TX-32LXD85) And i was not happy with the sound on it. So i moved my Amp over to the TV and i now get the sound through the Amp and Speakers which sounds ok. But then i connected my pc with a HDMI cable to the tv. But now the music sounds kind of Flat coming from the pc

When the pc was connected to the Amp before i was using a cable from the Amp to the sound card ( Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1) Do i take that the HDMI Adaptor that i have on my ATI Graphic card is the reason why my music sounds Flat. So what I'm asking is this. Is there anyway i can connect my sound card up to the Amp and Maybe switch from the HDMI Adaptor for TV use. And the X-Fi Prelude for Music. Or is it buy a new Amp time.

Thanks Guys

Just connect your sound card to an unused input on the amp, select that input to listen to your PC - should sound great.

Hi. What would i connect it to. When it was on the PC the cable went from the sound card to the AUX on the Amp. But my TV is using this connection now. Is there another place i can connect the sound card to

Thanks

What empty sockets do you have on your amp?.

Hi
Thanks. I was thinking that i had to use the AUX fitting on the Amp. So it will work with any of them. Thanks for the Help guys. I just need to order a 10M Y cable now.

They are simply labels on the front and back of the amp - it makes it easier for you than calling them Input 1, Input 2, Input 3 etc etc etc. The amp itself neither knows nor cares what you have connected to it. The only thing to be careful of is if you have an input labellled phono - which is for an old vinyl turntable input. An amp will often over-amplify any input it receives on here, because record players (turntables) gave out a much lower volume audio than any other piece of kit.

Thanks for that Willie Wontie. As you can tell i no very little about Amps and stuff . Not sure why i was thinking i could only use the AUX. When i had all them others on the back

Thanks Mate

Err.. no they wouldn't. Not all of them.

Don't use Pre Out or Main in as these are for the processor loop. One simply wont work, the other will not give you any tone or volume control.

your best bet is to use CD or video

Or Tuner, exactly the same - but DON'T use Disc either, that's probably an RIAA record player input, and completely different (you'll be sorry if you try!).
