Hi - I know some of these moans have been mentioned elsewhere but here is my wishlist for changes so far.

1. HDR display far too bright and an option with three levels of brightness and an "off" would be good.

2. Red/Blue indicator light - similar, not as obtrusive as the display but a little loud.

3. Remote playback buttons could be a little bigger and easier to find for those of us who need glasses for reading. I have used Sky, Sky+ and BT Vision and all three are better in this respect. The buttons that allow fast forward/backward and pause and play should bigger than other less used ones.

4. During fast forward/backward, the speed goes 2X, 4X then 16X. A speed of 8X would be useful, making overshoots much less likely when shifting through the adverts.

5. All other PVRs I have used (see 3. above) have allowed deletion of programmes when recording others - why not the Hummy?

6. Double presses of inputs are too easy for some reason. This does occur on BT Vision but not quite so badly. Could be pilot error I know, but I do find I need to be very careful.

Overall I have found the Humax HDR great and love the quality of the HD pic and the sound. While I do not wish to go back to Sky and pay for a lot of HD channels I don't want (endlessly repeated) - I still agree that the SKY+ box was the most bombproof I have used. Nevertheless more ITV HD would be appreciated, and hopefully eventually Channel 4HD on Freesat.

Any other changes you would like to see to the HDR ??

Really there's no 'perfect' machine - everyone has their own personal requirements, even if you design and build your own you can guarantee within a few weeks you'll find something you wish you'd included

You can make the led a lot more discrete by opening the flap and putting a short length of black insulation tape over each side of the led leaving a gap in the middle to meet your requirements.

Skip the ads using the skip keys above the blue and yellow keys. Press forward until you get back in the programme and then back to the end of the ads. You can change the settings in the menus but the defaults work quite well.

Must admit I don't use fast forward any more. Skip forward and back are perfect. 2 mins forward - 15 seconds back

I use it at the beginning of programmes to skip over the trailers and sponsorship messages and sometimes the opening credits. It's also useful where the ad break is consistently (e.g.) 20 seconds longer than the normal (customised) skip value (which seems to happen quite a lot)

8x would be nice. Why isn't it there 2, 4, ,16, 32, 64

Which number is missing from this sequence?

Yup, me too, it's one of my favourite features on the box.

How can you even consider covering that gorgeous blue display ......I got a new microwave delivered 2 hours ago and it's got an even brighter blue display......I love it and can't wait to see it in the dark

All you need is to focus it on the spinning mirror ball and invite us round for the disco

Hi - Thanks for all your comments and especially the tip about skip forward and back - I will be using that from now on.

One major thing I wish was different is the Freezes. Happened twice yesterday evening - the cause seems pretty random, and only a reboot gets you going again I am not sure if this is a fault or a "feature" - the box might be going back!!!!
