I have just installed PC Studio onto my computer. When I try to connect my phone via USB port it says it cannot connect because device is not in Idle mode -

What does that mean?
What do I need to do?

What mobile phone have you got?

I've got Samsung Pixon and to take my phone out of idle mode, I have to switch the screen from menu to widget .

I find PC Studio corrupts Microsoft Office. Requiring an annoying half hour or one hour re-install.

I also found you dont really need it.

USB cable/mass storage and just drag and drop files (jpgs and mp3s).
If you have a PVR with USB port also works.

Contacts is more tricky. If your address book is not too big, Bluetooth them one by one to another phone or maybe your PC (I forget if that works).

Idle mode is the Main Menu.

Not menu. Just hit Back/Exit till you can't go any further. That is Idle Mode
