What a happy coincidence ...
... that the two teams chose honey and seaweed as their main ingredients, and the production team had lined up visits to an apiary and a shoreline.
Can you imagine the logistical nightmare if one of the teams had chosen papaya as their main ingredient? Can't be easy to arrange a half day trip to Venezuela for 3 apprentices and a TV production team at short notice

Well spotted!
I wonder if they had a few possibilities to select from or whether it was like the car task last year where one team won first pick. Of course, there are numerous other things like this, primarily that they seem to be able to set up sales pitches on the spur of the moment when, in reality, permist would have to be obtained for these well in advance. |

As the series' go on, you realise that there is an awful lot of tweaking going on behind the scenes. You are right, there is no way they could go into a market and all of a sudden start selling goods.
Also in the episode where they had to host a corporate party. What company in their right mind would say yes to a 'catering company' who just appeared in the foyer? |

Also I didn't recognise that part of London called Poole where they picked the 'locally sourced' seaweed from

Margaret said in her column that Nooral's team took so long to choose apples that the other team had already chosen them. So that implies a list, and therefore the gathering expeditions could already have been set up.

Yes, there was a list of about 8 things to choose from...so obviously the production team only had to set up a few visits just in case...and ones like seaweed didnt need an arranged visit.

Pitches and stalls are pre-arranged for the teams. You may notice Sugar sometimes telling the candidates that he has "laid-on" a stall, a pub, a van or whatever that the teams need for the task.
The production company sort all these things out but the edits often make it look as if the candidates are picking sites at random. |

They went to Dorset to make the product so all the locally sourced products were from there.

this is true, but if i was in london, and somebody said to me locally sourced, i would expect a 30 mile radius
![]() I wonder what type of body care product you could naturally source from London, perhaps a Thames Mud wrap
