TF5800 – Can you use the remote to jump forward/backward?

I used to have a Humax which allowed you to jump forward and backward through a playing recording; can the TF5800 and TF5810 do this out of the box or with a TAP?
I used to set it to jump forward 60 seconds and back 15 seconds using the two remote buttons. What sort of settings does the Topfield have for jumping?

I have a 5810. I don't believe the Toppy (either 5800 or 5810) does this "out of the box". However, there are several TAPs out there that can. I use MyStuff which is a fantastic UI (User Interface) replacement for the Toppy. This can also used to configure buttons on the remote control to jump forward and backward if you wish. The exact "jump" time can also be configured. Great for "jumping over adverts". Perhaps that's why ITV is in such deep poo-poo, no one watched adverts any more!

I have the 5800 and also use MyStuff. I set the jump keys (the coloured buttons) to be +120secs, +60secs, +30secs and -15secs. Works well for me.

Very similar to my set-up. Great isn't it? I really wouldn't like to be without the Toppy. Of all the "gadgets" I own or have owned, the Toppy is the best, although I did get off to a shaky start when I purchased it last year just after it was launched (5810).

Thanks for the replies. I was confident that a TAP would give this feature but wanted it 100% confirmed. It offers more flexibility than the Humax remote as well so here goes…

If you don't want a full EPG replacement, QuickJump is also very easily configurable.

And, out of the box, if you bring up the playback bar (press play during playback) then press yellow, it jumps to the next bookmark, or 30 secs forward if there are no bookmarks.

I use MyStuff, but I use QuickJump for jumping, because its more flexible (and seems more accurate). MyStuff's jumping feature is fine, but pretty basic. E.g. in QuickJump you can decide whether the coloured jump buttons work when you're watching live TV, which is very convenient but perhaps not appropriate if you use MHEG (the "red button" stuff). And QuickJump displays a slick and useful progress bar when you jump.
