Mine's fixed now as well after doing a re-scan. I've noticed before that when new channels have been added to the EPG and I have told it to scan later that I have also been unable to download an updated EPG until I have let it update its channel lineup. Me thinks there's a bug here somewehere!

Thanks for the prompt replies guys. Quote:
There have been some issues by a change on the Sky platform.
In the EIT (The bit that sends the EPG) a number called the transport stream ID has been changed. As this different from the transport stream being recieved the box doesn't show the EPG. ![]() David |

I've had this but got mine to update by doing another Freesat Channel Scan. Nothing else was added but after saving it, when I went to the EPG it finally updated.
One word of caution, the Freesat Channel Update Scan hangs around 71% (just leave it and the scan will complete).

Although I thought the problem had gone away, it came back again. The freesat tune trick solved it for me. I delayed doing it because I had deleted a number of channels, and doing a manual freesat tune meant that I had to delete them all over again
. Another minor issue with the HDR that has crawled out of the woodwork. I wonder how many more there will be. [Although presumably triggered by something in the freesat EPG stream, it appears to be a something that has only upset the HDR.] Many of the issues with the HDR are minor, but the key word in that statement is "many". Many minor issues can aggregate into a major irritation. |

Although by the sounds of it this particular issue does not appear to have been an issue with the box but something else changing that impacted on the box.

Yeah the update problem is back again. I haven't tried a Freesat scan again yet, lets just hope it still provides a workaround until Freesat / Humax can work out what has gone wrong with the transmission.

Same issue again here.
The freesat scan fixed it again. I trust that this was due to the original issue being resolved and that is it all fixed now. Time will tell !! |

It's not affecting all HDR's though. Mine hasn't had a problem with the EPG updating in the usual time, before, during, or after the recent channel changes/auto-scans.

Why does the HDR not cache the EPG onto disk?
Surely the only time it needs to download further is if you go to the end of day 8? |

Today she saw this problem start, She saw me buzz the forum, She saw the problem finish. Thanks again counsellor. ![]() Have you guys ever considered how boring it would have been if there were no problems. ![]() David |

No concerns on that score. If their weren't any problems we would invent them and then spend our time debating whether they were indeed problems or not. We can at least be grateful to Humax for saving us from that.
