Compacks DVD800 in My Local Safeway £35.99

hi

Can anyone please tell me if this machine is anygood have read about other compacks on the web, so far theyhave all been good.

I am thinking about getting the machine for my folks for their christmas and what made me go for it was it (pardon the pun) compact size because space is a premium under my parents T.V (Sky box, VCR)

Also does anyone know of any Region Hacks for the machine

I bought one of these today as an Xmas present for my 9 year old daughter.Tried it out before wrapping it up and the picture quality seems pretty good.One question I have if someone could answer please.I thought that it would have an LCD display as it has the dark plastic front that most other players have but when playing there is nothing at all.Is there anyone out there who has one of these and can help. Thanks.

The player doesnt have a display.

I think this is were the cost cutting would used as the cost of this extra would probably push up the cost of the player.

I dont mean to be rude but you cant complain a multiregion dvd for £35.99

Thanks for the reply,but if you read my post you'll see that there was no complaint.The reason I asked was when I was in Safeway the other day there was one playing at the C.S desk and I thought I saw a display on it.I personally don't give a monkeys as it will be hidden anyway,as long as it works.I have a 400 quid one that isn't multi-region so you're right,why would anyone complain.
