They were all in the wrong. I really didn't like to see the rest of the group gang up against one person, though, and they (or, at least, most of them) really made themselves look small by their ungracious attitude to Jody's apology. Old Marco was pretty clever in the way he made them all expose themselves by asking them one by one if they thought he should sack Jody - that was quite impressive. For all Jody's faults, it's Mr and Mrs Anthea that I find totally insufferable.

Mmm .... I was quite a fan of Anthea's until tonight. I thought her attitude when Jody was trying to apologise was a bit 'holier than thou'. She was talking over him etc and constantly repeating his faults, I was totally expecting Jody to lose his temper again but, fair play, he didn't. And as for Ade, 'you're a liar' ... words fail me. Isn't this the same man you used Mario's pasta without a second thought and didn't own up?

Don't get me wrong, I can't STAND Jody but tonight I did think they could have all been a bit more gracious when he was apologising. Naomi and Danielle were alright but the older one's (apart from Linda) were a bit over the top in their condemnation.

Maybe they thought they were doing it for our benefit in case we hadn't seen everything but we get the picture. He's an two-faced back stabber and crawler who doesn't pull his weight!

The issue was the apology itself for me. It just seemed like a 'shut up and go away' apology rather than a heartfelt one, which is what Anthea said in mitigation.

That's not to say I ddin't find the Bovey's patronising or Ade very hypocritical. But Jody's apology seemed shallow ro say the least to me.

I did find it funny though how Grant made a big deal out of Jody calling Anthea a "cow" but prior to that had no problem calling Jody a "w@*ker"

Jody was totally in the wrong. You cant behave the way he did which was insulting, boorish, lazy and more importantly totally unnecessary and then just apologise and think everything is ok.

I see the point about the holier than thou attitude with regards to Anthea though. She did appear to revel in it a bit too much, but I think she was the only one.

Remember they ALL voted to give him a second chance. They showed him they were bigger than him and showed him the correct way to behave.

Jody is a little runt and I hope when this experience is over he will look at his behaviour and feel thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed.

I think Jody should have been honest with them from the start, from what we saw, he didn't seem to do much work, swanning around waving and smiling at his family and if I was working there, I wouldn't be happy.

I agree with a lot of others on here. Yes, Jody was in the wrong (it's obviously been building up for a while as well given all of their reactions) but the way they all ganged up on him was pretty dreadful in particular Ade, Grant and Anthea.

I actually shouted 'Oh shut up Anthea' twice last night during the apology 'session' and what irritated me the most was her constant demands for an explanation for his behaviour before she would accept his apology. WTF?

Ok Anthea, if we're going by that, what made you think it was acceptable to sleep with another man behind your husband's back with someone else you was also married with children? I want to know this and then maybe I'll think about forgiving you for it although, to my knowledge, you've never apologised publically for your behaviour, you smug, patronising, pious bitch.

Now, do you want to take me on Grant for calling your wife names because I could say exactly the same about you not to mention all your dodgy business dealings? Bring it on mate.

As for Ade, what a tosser. My dislike of him grows day by day. This clearly means a lot to him (although he's trying to hide it by his continual 'joking') and you could almost see the colour drain from his face when he realised he could be in trouble. And, as others have mentioned, it's a bit rich calling someone else a liar when you tried to pass off a top class chef's pasta as your own and, as far as I'm aware, still haven't owed up to it.

At the end of the day, people in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones.

And if I'd have been there instead of Jody, all of this would have come out and no doubt ended with me and Turner brawling on the floor with me pulling her stupid frizzy 'after service' hair out and Bovey trying to pull me off her saying 'leave me wife alone'

The 'pack like' ganging up on Jody [who was in the wrong and deserved his come uppance] was purely for the cameras. Grant and Anthea made total ars*s of themselves.

Ade,s lie could have got himself in the clarts but Jody,s was against the whole team.
Dont get me wrong I am not an Ade lover but his opinion was spot on. "give him a second chance but not at the expense of another."

He kept going on about how HE didn't want them to go without and how HE wanted to feed them - taking Marco's words, and the way he went against Marco made me think he thought he was the star of the show. It wasn't very nice for the people at that table to do without, but their lives did not depend on Jody. It wasn't as if they were going to starve to death if HE didn't feed them. He didn't want to do any work but wanted to give orders and take all the credit for feeding them. IMO he is too arrogant to learn his lesson and will revert back to form.
What's more, he lied to the others and could have got them into trouble and he didn't care. That was not the first time he has lied so I think he was totally at fault, and I don't blame the others for their attitude.
Marco might have asked them all individually to give him a second chance to let Toadie Jody see how his behaviour affects other people.

I don't normally watch HK until it gets to the much later stages, but last night it was on in the background, and I couldn't help being caught up in it. My first impression was that Jody was a complete chavtastic ****, but I thought Marco was great with him, and I think his apology could have been taken a lot more graciously by the other celebs. Quite frankly, I don't know who Anthea thinks she is, I mean she isn't exactly one of the nation's favourites is she...and her holier than thou, school marm attitude certainly won't be winning anyone over in a hurry..and as for her husband...OMG....."My wife this, My wife that" What a patronising sod, if I'd been Anthea, I'd have told him to shut up and let me fight my own battles!....and what a hypocrite he is anyway...not so long ago he didn't give a second thought to dumping his then "wife" and children in the shite....he isn't going to gain any fans either. Totally agree - and the reason for his big-headedness ,and lack of work - his family were seated near the kitchen, so he was trying to be the big man.

Couldn't believe the way he kept sitting near the end of the pass, waving and trying to chat to his family - clearly doing no work.

I know it would have been edited from the whole evening, but still - to do it more than once or twice over the whole service just showed how ignorant he was to the others.

However - I knew he wouldn't be sacked for it straight away - it'll have given the ratings a slight boost. And liek any reality show - nothing brings in the viewers better than a bit of conflict!!

Jody was wrong and he treated the others especially Anthea like shit he should of got the sack i liked him to begin with now he gets on my nerves so i hope he gets the sack tonight...........Anthea to win

Looks like we are thinking the same things. I totally agree with everything you say.
The viewers will probably start turning off though if it keeps going on as they might get fed up with seeing Marco keep him in just for the ratings. I for one would like to see more of Bruce and a couple of others who we don't see much of.
At the moment the show seems to be centred on Jody, but at least we got to see what a reptile he is.

I liked Bruces grasp on all of this

Jody was acting that apology, he didnt mean one word of it, it was insincere, said with no hint of remorse and he was forced to do it by Marco.

He is far from a good actor, far from a decent team player and should have gone immediately.

Even though they all decided to give him a second chance - and I don't believe any of them wanted to but were cajoled into it by Marco, they will all now be watching out for the slightest wrongdoing, even Marco.

Cheating (and not owning up to it) is not a million miles away from lying, though. Ade's hardly in any position to take the moral high ground. Did he forget we all saw what he did?

Ade's cheating could have got him the sack but not all the others. The worse thing (IMHO) that Jody did was crow to the others about how he had lied to them and that they could all now get the sack. He is a pathetic little creature. :yawn:
