You Tube and Britain's Got Talent- match made in heaven or what?

Paul Potts.... Connie kid.... Susan Boyles... etc etc

Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a show that has married the internet so well in ages.... Core blimey... Not even American Idol can generate this sort of hype online worldwide.

Perhaps it just goes to prove, that the media industry have to embrace the net.

Demi Moore has already twittered about that kid that was on last so expect another 'overnight sensation'

They get just as good acts on America's Got Talent, I always wonder why they never create so much hype over those, and surely it would benefit the viewing figures of America's Got Talent here in the UK as well

I think it's because the acts in the US are too polished and too stage schooly.... Our ones tend to be more raw and undeveloped... It's the whole coal turning into a diamond thing.

It's the same problem I'm having with American Idol at the moment... Their acts are too polished for my liking.... souless

It would be interesting to see if anything similar happens but I doubt it somehow... Susan would have won people over without Demi. Paris Hilton was actually the first one on the case!

Good thread.
I think this is happening more and more. The Media, especially TV, and the internet feeding off each other, maybe one day becoming merged...

I don't know if she twitters, but she had Susan's BGT clip on her website before Demi twittered about Susan...

The production in BGT and xfactor is much more exciting and suspence driven than AI or AGT. AI doesnt have much its very predictable.

BGT with simon is a great formula for youtube views.
