I can't help but be concerned that you have children. If a child of yours turns out to be gay, what will you do? Disown him/her?

Yes, but you do seem to be poking fun at the subject matter now. It's just as disrespectful as those people calling you names.

The child wasn't given enough protection from being exposed to the gayers, and obviously caught it from someone.

A few years ago, I would have thought this hyperbole. But I know of several children classmates of children in my family who were thrown out by their parents for being gay! It happens.

Have you noticed those trying to defend Mona's comments have yet to come up with a coherent argument, resorting instead to vague euphemisms, inappropriate smileys or ignoring responses altogether?

!!!!!11!!11!1lolz!11!!!

This is pointless, i'm off to find people not still living in the 1950's.

So will you be keeping tabs on everyone your child comes into contact with? Are you going to ask each and every person that goes near them if they are gay?

But homosexuals didn't imply children should be kept from heterosexuals - so you really wouldn't have good reason to call them anything.

I'm not homosexual but to paraphrase Gertrude Stein 'a bigot is a bigot is a bigot.'

Jesus it's not a football match! It's not homos versus heteros!

And I don't recall saying children should be kept away from homosexuals

I will do my best! But, make no mistake, my son will be educated on gay people, just like they will be about other lifestyles!

Ok, then I suppose you'd be fine if someone said they didn't want their kids 'exposed' to you because of your eye colour or taste in food? Or would you find it rather ridiculous?

How can you educate someone about gay people? They're not all the same.
