Hi at the moment i have sky plus,i don't really use thier channels that much any more but would like some hd,so i have been thinking about the humax.
Could those that have one please answer some questions.

1 will the remote control the tv functions like a sky box.
2 does the unit get very hot.
3 ive read it has a low volume output.not sure what that means.
4 can you record non freesat mode with them not in the epg.
5 is it worth the money.
6 can you start watching something that is still recording.

many thanks.

1. Yes, probably better (based on my HDR and a friend's Sky box (not Sky+), both with Sony Bravia TVs).
2. No.
3. It's default is lowish, but it can be turned up. When turned up, it is at about line output level. It remembers the last level it was set to.
4. It is to me.
5. Yes.

1. Yes
2. No
3. I have found it best to set the Humax at full volume and control the volume via the TVs volume control.
4. Yes but only manual start, i.e you have to be there to press the record button to start then select a recording lenght.
5. Yes
6. Not a 100% sure on this one but I would say yes.

Hi,

It is possible to cancel sky without phoning them.

Do a google search for "cancel sky online" ~ worked for me.
