I'm sure I spied Ansell having a major laughing fit at Nick's falling over, and whilst it was a bit funny, I bet it annoyed Nick, and his complaint gave him a chance to express his distaste.

I think it was him and his girlfriend I saw anyway!

Oi Oi lou

I don't even know who this Ansell fella is! Could you enlighten me please?

I don't like my meat oozing blood - but there is a big difference between that and slightly pink.

I ate in the Saltlik steakhouse in Calgary - I explained to the very knowledgeable waiter what I could and could not eat. As a result the steak was the best I've ever eaten - just a shame that it's a bit too far to dine there on a regular basis.”

I'm usually too busy checking him out! But yes, on the rare (scuse the pun) occasion I order red meat when dining out, I make it very clear that I want it practically burnt!

Oh I didn't watch X-Factor - I must have had a life then!

As they say Sid - when it's brown it's done, when it's black it's buggered.

In my world, when it's black, there's no going back

What a total waste of DNA. If you don't understand what Marco is about, don't turn up for the free meal or the tv exposure, which was of course Ansell's only reason for being there.

Meat being pink is fit for pigs?

Wow, I clearly eat out of a trough most nights. Certain meats can be pink, and are best served pink in the opinion of many chefs and critics.

Years of cooking experience in hotels and restaurants says you have a lot learn about cooking meat and eating it. Perhaps you should try the steak tartare!

There's a saying - "The customer is always right". If you want something cooked in a particular way, then surely it is your right to ask for it to be done that way.

And with all due respect, if you actually knew Jonathan, you would know that he is not full of himself, rude or arrogant at all. I have met him a couple of times, and each time, he has been polite, friendly and down-to-earth.”

You've met him a couple of times and you think that's the same thing as knowing him?

They both behaved as if they'd never been in a fine dining restaurant before. Nick was having a bad night, he's normally very polite. The girlfriend was petulant.

No, but everyone on his official forum has said exactly the same thing as me - that he's a really friendly, polite and down to earth guy. So we surely can't ALL be wrong. I've actually spoken and met some of them in real life and I know that if they felt that Jonathan was in the wrong, then they would have said so. But they haven't.

I'm sorry, but that is absolute rubbish.

Pink meat is softer, easier to chew, and, most importantly, easier to digest. Studies have shown that food which is not properly digested can sit in the gut, causing all manner of intestinal problems including IBS and Crohn's (of course, this would be a build up over time, and not caused by one meal).

Dark, well done meat is tough as the longer cooking time dehydrates it. The lack of juices affect both the eating experience (harder to cut, and to chew) and the flavour (pink meats have a far rounder, richer flavour than well done). In fact, a chef like Marco may well be insulted by unsophisticated palettes requesting good cuts of meat 'ruined'. (Not that, in my opinion, they made it clear in the first place).

If Jonathan and Debbie wanted to look good on television, they might have rethought the decision to select veal, for a myriad of reasons.

Well of course they have, they're his fan club.
You're not going to have people signing up to be a fan if they don't like him are you? The idea behind being a fan is that you like whoever you're a fan of.

Are you suggesting that he would he would be deliberately nice to his fanbase who he relies on to buy his rubbish only to not be so pleasant to waitors or anyone else he doesn't need to be nice to?

THATS MADNESS!!!

Sorry, but you misunderstand. The point I'm trying to make is that I know the people who are part of his fan club, so I know what they are like as people. I know that if they disagreed with something that he did, then they would say so because they're very honest people.

And judging by his official forum - about half of these honest people have indeed disagreed with Jonathan's behaviour tonight...

Particularly like the "I see the trolls are out in force" comment because someone dared to criticise Jonathan. What lovely fans he has...

I thought Nick was a little brisk/ blunt with his comments to Jonathan's fiance - but then he was stating truth - and knew that if he went up to the pass with her ignorant comments Marco would simply refuse to re-cook the dish...I was quite surprised that Marco agreed to recook the veal and not back up his staff member Nick to be honest... I'd have been a little peeved if I'd been Nick....

Egomanic cock Jonathan Ansell and his ugly, weird nosed girlfriend Debbie King are both stuck up arseholes anyway.

I'm not sure who's side I am between Nick and Jonathan but I thought it was hilarious how Jonathan had been so gobby to Nick but then turned into a little mouse when speaking to Marco. You could see him shrink into himself.

Aah, but if you notice, the people who are criticising Jonathan just so happened to sign up to the forum on the same day that the Hell's Kitchen episode got broadcast. Not a coincidence, I don't think. It was expected that there would be people like this who purely posted just to create controversy.

The REAL fans, (the ones who have made many posts and the ones I was referring to), do not think that he was in the wrong.

Yeah, but their hanger-ons thinking that Ansell actually gives a stuff about them. He's only interested in your cash, and arse licking compliments.

Erm... most of the REAL fans hadn't seen it and were going on past times when they had met him as fans. He's hardly gonna call a fan of his a dick is he?

I'm surprised Debbie King didn't reach into her handbag, put on her balaclava and threaten Marco with her rawl plugs.
