Why is it when anyone trashess Gareth Gates the thread is pulled

I do try but i can't think of anything positive to say about him.

The last thread was closed because Gareth fans can't stand the truth so they started getting abusive..

Then don't say anything at all.

There are plenty of topics on DS, and you won't have any trouble finding a thread where you can contribute something positive.

It really annoys me when people say that. I have a right to an opinion whether it's positive or negative.

I used to hate gareth gates but ive liked the two new singles.

I know the album will be crap so i think ill hold off right now.

Raymond Im glad youve liked Gareths last 2 single, and trust me the album is pure excellence I think you would be surprised, Gareth has wrote 7 of the tracks on it that are amazing, Im telling you this in an album that is just waiting to be discovered and it will be.

Why cant all us Will and Gareth fans try and get on for once, bring peace not war.

Actually, I did buy the album and I'm not all that impressed. It's all very Westlife - ish.

There are a few good songs though, I don;t think he deserves the slagging he gets.

Maybe he'll do better when he breaks away from Simon Cowell and gets to do what he wants to do.

I cant say he does anything for me. He looks like a little boy pretending to play at being a grown up - and it kinda puts me off his music

From what I've seen, Gareth certainly isnt pretending to be anything but himself; he's like most 19 year boys - there's an impressively adult, serious, good-natured side to him as well as the michievousness of a boy his age. Thats why he loved by all ages!

Couldnt have said it better myself, I get so angry when people say only kids love him, Im a mother/housewife, and I love him cause I see the goodness in him, and the maturity he does have even though he is so young., there are plenty like me, people just choose to ignor it.

I think Gareth has his time to come yet, and I agree that he would be better of without BMG/19 they are holding him back and not letting him show his real songwriting/musician talents, he will do though, he has time on his hands, his day will come.

I certainly agree with that my grandson is 19 years of age and like any normal boy grown up one minute and a kid the next.I thi nk that Gareth is an immensely talented young man who has faced a handicap head on. Anyone who has a relative or friend with a stammer knows of the terrible anguish they face every day of their lives. I love Gareths album and have always enjoyed listening to his music and no one will convince me that he is not a rising star .The courage that he has shown .his sense of humour his loyalty to his fans,and his great love of his family his love of music will ensure lasting affection and loyalty from his fans.
