i purchased this unit after some much welcome advice from forum members. just one question? when the unit is off, with just the led clock displayed, i sometimes find that the word GUIDE is suddenly displayed? is there a fault with this unit, and if not what does it mean? i am aware of what GUIDE refers to, just at a loss as why it suddenly displays when the unit is actually not in use?

It's perfectly normal.

I had this recorder,and would always see guide displayed after powering off,it disappears after about half an hour,i just assumed it was loading future epgs.
