Sorry, Mrs D, I know you like her, but she behaved like a petulant idiot. It's a piece of reality tv, you'd think Bovey has been sent off to death row. She was completely OTT. I was embarrassed for her.

It's interesting you mentioned that as the incident revealed a lot about Danielle too. If I saw someone I'd been working with sobbing their heart out, I'd want to comfort them. That Danielle completely ignored Anthea was heartless.


Well she dealt with the situation badly. Anyone would think the pair were being split up forever! It's just a TV show and Anthea's lack of manners justifies the criticism she's receiving.

You're right Sid - she just sidestepped Anthea completely but then she might be more aware than we viewers how manipulative Anthea has been and is fed up with her tantrums. That said, it did say a lot about Danielle as it made her come across as being rather hard.

Besides, Anthea wasn't even crying. There were no tears, just the appropriate sniffing noises as though she were.

I was actually starting to warm to her until her schoolmarm outburst at Jody, and after last night any positive feelings I had for her are definitely gone.

She's petulant, spoiled and immature, and I'm surprised the rest of them can bring themselves to work with her.

I think Danielle whispered, I'm sorry, as she passed Anthea, so she didn't ignore her completely.

The way she just sat on the floor in their way where she knew they'd be walking through, looked to me as though she was deliberately trying to lay a guilt trip onto them.

What else was Naomi supposed to do?
If she doesn't want anybody touching her then get out of the way where people have to walk.
I'd feel really callous and heartless if I had to step over her to get past, so it wasn't right that she just sat their in their path.

Plus on 'The Wright Stuff' this morning it was saying that Anthea and Grant were highly competitive with each other and both of them actually wanted to last longer than the other. Apparently it was her wish for Grant to go out before her.

Anthea must have some sort of emotional issues for behaving so OTT when Grant got sacked, it was like there was no way she could survive without him!

I remember reading an interview a long long time ago, where Anthea stated that her first husband beat her. Perhaps thats why she is so frightened of being on her own up against Marco and everyone else perhaps?

If that's the case, she needs some serious therapy. Nah, she's just pathetic.

She didn`t take long to recover from her "heartbreak" either did she, going by the way she completely ignored whatshisface when he kept calling out to her afterwards!!!

To be fair, I've a feeling that when Grant did his elimination interview, it was filmed on the night that they had 104 covers and had to do the 40 covers for the second sitting without Marco, ie, the footage we saw last night. If that's the case then Anthea might simply have been too busy to talk to Grant at that particular moment.

Thanks for the clarifying LittleChicken, I wasn't sure whether it was an ex-husband or ex-boyfriend. I do agree though that Anthea is not the wholesome, nice girl she pretends to be.

And did you get her remark about Bruce? About why couldn't he go a few more days without his wife?

I could have sworn when the camera first showed her crouching on the floor she was smiling and then she suddenly turned on the woe is me act.

It's funny how Anthea has been abused for being too emotional about her husband being sacked, but so many people think it's endearing that Linda was upset when Bruce walked out.
