He is such a lovely man and anyone can see how much he adores his wife.

Seems like a nice bloke. It's a shame he has mud stuck all over him from his time at Liverpool.

His "houseboy" would be proud

It's a shame that some of todays so-called "stars" haven't got an ounce of Bruce's humility. He came across as a genuine gentleman.

I thought it was really touching that he kisses his wedding ring every time he puts it back on. (You have to admire anyone who can kiss their ring IMHO, it's not easy*)

His summing up of Marco was nice as well, I'm sure Clawed was hoping he'd say something nasty about him but his description of him as a beautiful person and a fine man was obviously genuine.

It must have been an emotional desicion for him to make, but like he said it has been a tough week, with the hillsborough remembrance and seeing how much his wife needed him made his mind up for him.

Me and hubby was routing for him and wanted him to win from night one.

He really is a star and will be missed.

He is still everyones winner

Well Done Bruce!!!

Feel exactly the same - nice guy and all but hardly interesting TV - glad he went as he'd be the one (whether good or bad) I'd miss the least.

Also watching the huge over-reaction to his leaving was priceless telly - I had tears running down my face - honest to god people get a grip!

I don't think anyone has professed to feeling suicidal or needing counselling - on the contrary a few have simply said they're sorry he's left and they admired the way he conducted himself.

If you consider that a huge overreaction then perhaps you need to get a grip.

Normally Bruce is very funny and we did catch glimpses of his humour; when he laughed everyone laughed with him - but remember HK coincided with the 20th Hillsborough tragedy - it's little wonder he was quiet. No doubt he was remembering and reflecting on that awful day.

No one in the kitchen had harsh words for him - and I think the only other person who will come out this with a reputation similar to Bruce's is Linda.

Was sad to see Bruce leave - he's such a gentleman.

I just wish he'd hung on for a few more days. He'd come so far and was tipped to win!

I was really shocked he left but i understand his reasons. He also said on This Morning that he only got married on 16th December last year so it would have been hard to be parted.

I liked Bruce and he did himself proud

A thoroughly decent man.
(And im an Evertonian.)
he conducted himself with dignity and its a shame he chose to leave but i can understand his reasons.
his interview with Claudia was nice too after having to endure Mr Smug the previous night and Jody Gonk Lathams non interview.
Good luck to him.

I have to say I was rather disappointed that he 'threw in the towel'. There were only a few days or so to go until the final and I'm sure he would have been in the final but, there you go, I guess he just couldn't hack it.

Nice guy though.

Quite what did he do other than stir a pot of potatos and have Marco keep saying he was his rock. He did no more then any of the others which means like them he did not do a lot.
