How on earth do you know exactly what anyone did whilst off camera?
It's very, very, obvious that they are editing the programmes to make it appear as if Noorul is doing nothing (much as they did with Helen last year). But if he really was doing nothing we would certainly have seen some altercations when other members of the team objected (as a mouthy git like Philip most certainly would). You need to read between the lines to work out how the production is trying to manipulate you. Of course, they could just be exaggerating a rather low key player. Is that better? |

Well, Philip certainly complained in the boardroom that he was brought into the boardroom because he stuck his neck out and took a risk, while there were others who managed to keep under the radar. Of course I don't know whether Noorul does nothing or not. I suspect he tries to contribute and is shouted down, and doesn't have the capability to stick up for himself. Suralan is looking for a fighter though, and from the admittedly limited amount I have seen, I have formed some opinions about them. In conclusion, I don't think Noorul does absolutely nothing, but I don't think he has made any significant contributions to the teams he's been on. There are better candidates.
Is that better? ![]() I don't think Noorul is in any way a contender - I just think his inactivity is severely exaggerated at times. |

I was really annoyed by tonight's Your Fired but it was all because of Jenny Eclair's imbecilic comment about "the gay one" not being camp enough?!
I choose the interpret the gay comment as remarking on the contrast between how gay characters are so often portrayed on TV, eg in sitcoms and in some other reality shows such as Big Brother, and how this real gay person actually was. I hesitate to use the word "ironic", but she took this basic, positive, pro-gay observation and put her usual outrageous twist on it to make it funny. I don't think she meant it literally. |

But Philip's ideas are too often crap, and he sulks if they aren't accepted.

Well, no. He didn't sulk when his "cereal killer" idea was rejected. He didn't sulk when his "so natural you'll feel naked" idea was rejected.
He may have had a sulk, wasted some time and then come up with a new idea. Or not. But his attitude when he said what he was going to do if his idea didn't get selected sounded pretty poor to me. |

If you prefer, he wasn't shown sulking. There's no reason to think he sulked. Let's keep the criticism to stuff we've actually seen him do.
Saying that if they go with a worse idea and lose, he'll hold them to account in the boardroom is entirely reasonable. And he says it to the camera - it's not a threat made to the other candidates. |

And by the same token, let's keep the defence to stuff we've seen. ![]() Quote:

OK, that's just being a pompous pratt as holding them to account if they lose is Sugar's job.

When do you think he was sulking? Maybe we mean different things by that.

i was more disturbed by the fact that Jenny Eclair now seems to have morphed into Sue Pollard to be honest...
Me too - I thought it was Sue when I turned over *lol* |
