And also, in an earlier series, loud mouth Jo was praised for being way more obstructive than Lorraine when she didn't like her group's idea. I actually thought Lorraine was very moderate in her responses. It must have been horrible for her: hating an idea yet knowing that to an extent you've got to go along with it. I don't know how she managed to hold back as much as she did. Yet even then, she was accused of sucking all the positivity out of the room.

If I was Lorraine, I'd have made a REALLY strong objection right from the start, i.e. "I hate this idea. Really hate it". Then I'd have just got my head down and done what was asked. At least that way, it's on record that you hated it but you couldn't be called obstructive. Her drip drip, more gentle objections just ended up looking like moaning, when clearly, a Phillip-sized tantrum is ok.

On this show, Sir Alan and co seem to mistake aggressive and cocky for passionate and committed while being respectful and emotionally literate means you're shifty or too soft or blowing hot air.
I guess the difference with Jo (I never thought I would be siding with that woman) is that in that calendar task, she clearly realised that the cats were wholly wrong, but also knew that using babies/children would be most appropriate. With Lorraine however, she had no other viable suggestion. Her only other idea was something completely in contravention of the brief. Her negativity didn't help to build on and adapt the idea they had to something which would have been good, but only to bring the team down.

Howard has been invisible since about the 2nd week

Mona has at least been seen in the background of some tasks

but Nooral was quiet even when he was team leader

and I simply don't believe that the producers have managed to edit them out every single scene, I've rarely heard Howard and Nooral say anything in any meeting or in the minibus. The producers would have to be working overtime to get rid of them completely from all the footage.

A lot of that is down to editing. Howard is not a loud pushy type (like say, Philip or Ben) so therefore is not deemed to be as 'good' television. Same with Nooral; the editing made him look like he contributed nothing, but remember they are squeezing two days work into less than an hour, so they are going to obviously cherry pick the bits that make for good tv. The same applied to Paula - we barely saw her before she was team leader when she proved herself to have many decent qualities, both as a person and as a team leader. It's all down to editing.

I think for me, even though Lorraine's idea did not meet the brief, I think it was something that could have been worked on or expanded.. as is the point of a brainstorming session. Instead, it was completely disregarded.

As you can see with the other team their idea came from one idea of the treasure... and then from there they came up with the parrot, pirate thing etc.

I don't think her negativity cost the whole task either.

I don't think her negativity cost the task. However, you do get to a point where it's too late to do anything about it, and at that point she should have stopped moaning. (It was when Howard told her and Philip to put their differences aside).

I agree with the person who said that Lorraine should have said quite clearly at the outset that she hated the idea, and then - with the lack of any other ideas materialising - she should have got her head down and got on with the job at hand. That way, she would have made her point, but could not have been accused of draining the energy of the rest of the team.

I can't believe Howard has been lumped together with Noorul & Mona. Howard, whilst quiey seems to be doing a steady job, and seems very senisble (see him telling Lorraine and Phillip to pack in the arguing infront of others.) Noorul, whilst a victim of editing, hasn't shown anything when given the air time. Mona, well she makes Noorul look like Bill Gates. The woman is useless.

The teams are totally mismatched for sure. If Surallan doesnt change the teams around them Ignite will be eliminated within a few weeks. I suggest putting Noorul and Philip in Empire and putting Kate into Ignite. I think Philip will be much happier to have competent personnel in his team and Empire will realise Noorul is rubbish and finally take him into the board room. I also think that putting kate into Ingite will dwindlt her rising star. I dont rate her at all.

So lets hope the teams are more evenly matched next week.

Yasmina was the PM for the catering task. Surely she wouldn't be again so soon.
Sir Alan said that he'd make her PM again, instead of firing her a couple of weeks ago I think. Likewize, he said that Lorraine needed to be a PM.

But yes, it would be a bit soon, but he said he wanted it to happen.

Aye, for someone who stated they liked the sound of their own voice in the opening episode, he's not used it since! He's useless and out of his depth is the reason I'd guess.

Watching the previews, it appears she is on Ignite, swapping places with Noorul.
That could end up saving Noorul for yet another week.
