I can't imagine that Noorul is going to turn out to some amazingly dynamic whirlwind who has been persecuted by the producers.

More likely just someone who works steadily to do what he's asked and doesn't fit well into the wholly unreal environment that is TA.”

They edited him out because he had absolutely nothing interesting to say...do you think they should have featured long, lingering shots of him looking utterly clueless?

Were you there when they were shooting or editing the programme?

No...were you?

It's called an opinion. Online forums tend to be full of 'em.

No:

An opinion sttarts "I think" or "Perhaps" or even "In my opinion".

You stated it as if it were a fact known to you which is why I asked the question.

I'm not saying you're wrong - just wondering. We'll possibly find out tonight.

"A pedant is a person who is overly concerned with formalism and precision, or who 'makes a show of learning'. The corresponding (archaic) female noun is pedantess.

The term in English is typically used with a negative connotation, indicating someone overly concerned with minutiae and whose tone is perceived as condescending.
[edit] Usage of term

Being referred to as a pedant, or pedantic, is generally considered insulting,[4] along with terms such as "grammar Nazi". However some people take pride in being a pedant, especially with regard to the use of the English language.

Pedantry can also be an indication of certain developmental disorders. In particular those with high-functioning autism, often have behaviour characterized by pedantic speech".

LOL. Pot <-> Kettle.

Actually, it's nothing to do with being pedantic and all to do with knowing if you were making a prediction based on a personal opinion or whether you'd seen something - or even read it in a paper.

Sorry to ruffle your feathers.
