I love how this article describes Grant Bovey as a 'social black hole'! Although I can think of another hole he reminds me of.

I like Ade.

Ade is playing what he thinks is a clever game - only time will tell if it pays off.

imo he's shown himself to be sly, snide and hypocritical.

I'm not a fan of Anthea nor do I dislike her. She can irritate but she also works hard and pulls her weight - I thought the way Ade sidelined her last night when Marco asked both to run the pass showed quite clearly he's all for himself. Then to add insult to injury he was so smug about it afterwards.

Just read this (Ades comments about team players) - oh the irony.

I thought he came across badly last night

This series would have been dull without Ade but I've seen a side to him that I don't especially like so I won't be voting for him to win.

He has been entertaining but he has (genuinely or by accident) come across as quite devious and as others have said out for himself.

It will be interesting to see how the public think.

I like him, he's human, nobody is perfect we all bitch/tell a few home truths at times, especially on this website.

So he wants to win, why is that considered such bad form in this country?

It isn't - just depends on how you go about it.

I've loved Ade since the days of Vyvyan, and he can do no wrong in my eyes.

If it weren't for him, HK would be a bloody dull place.

So did I. Marco asked both Anthea and Ade to run the pass but Ade immediately took over which thereby demoted Anthea to sous chef status.

I think Anthea took it well and did not remonstrate with him but just got on with things.

Ade really thinks he's the bees knees and I'm finding that rather an irritating trait so, even if he does make the final, I will not be voting for him to win.

I also do not like the way he denegrates the others behind their backs - seems rather spiteful IMO and he also appears extremely smug.

Shame really as I rather liked him at the beginning but I feel he's shot himself in the foot.

i find Ade very immature and will be glad when he's gone.

having said that he's not taking the hk experience seriously but he's capitalising on other people's weaknesses and crowing to the camera about what he thinks. I just find it bad sportsmanship.

I don't think he will, as the public start voting soon, and more and more people are seeing him as a snake.

Ade is confusing me!

When he's funny, I can't help but like him, and I'd imagine the kitchen would be a lot less interesting without him.

At other times, though, he says things that make him rather dislikable. I still want him to stay though.

I think he is just saying how he really feels[and a lot of people on this forum feel] the others seem to be guarding their words. So to me good on him, hope he wins.

I think Ade is sneaky, sly and manipulative - a thoroughly nasty person in the way he sneers about Anthea

Really not needed ....

Oh I'm glad others have spotted how snide he is, I thought I was going to like him but I'm not sure that I do.

He's been entertaining and funny, there's no denying that.

But his bitching has spiralled out of control now.

I'd never heard of him before, I don't think he's the least bit funny

I wouldnt trust him an inch if I worked with him in an office. You'd never trust him not to take the piss/rubbish you behind your back.

He's not honest. He's only honest when he is cornered. Other then that he is quite sly.

I can understand why people don't like Ade's attitude. But I find him very entertaining and, quite frankly, I'd sooner trust him than those in there that are claiming to love everyone.

Whenever a group of people is gathered most, if not all of them will have traits that annoy the hell out of you. To come out and state that in front of the people who possess them would be unutterably stupid on a show like this. You still have to work with them and it would just make for an unpleasant situation that could have been avoided.

However, if someone is p*ssing you off, I'd say you do need a release valve. The behind the scenes camera acts as that. It would be stupid to say what you think in front of the person in question but if you don't say it at all you might just boil over. I can understand that.

I don't have any problem with what Ade is doing. He has his opinions about his fellow contestants just as they all do (and as we all do). He's not stupid enough to come out and say it in front of them because he has to spend a lot of time with these people. However, he can't resist making his views known behind the scenes because

a) He's experienced in the media and he knows it makes good telly.

b) He's probably frustrated at having to be constantly nice to people he finds irritating.

c) he knows he's never going to have to see any of his fellow contestants again if he doesn't want to.

Nobody who possesses a brain should be surprised that any fellow human being bitches behind their back. I assume everyone does it about me all the time. I'm sure nobody that Ade has bitched about is under illusions that they will become best mates when the series ends.

Ade has at the very least injected some humour into this series. He has even made Marco laugh at times. If Ade wasn't in the show it would have been rather dull I think.
I quite like Naomi even though I have never heard of her before as a celebrity. But I would like Ade to win. He is the one who has been the most interesting IMO and has been a good team member.

You have hit the nail right on the head.

Lets face it the only people he's criticized are the ones that Marco has fired. What does that tell you?

Well said.

His face last night when Anthea was wittering with her pathetic 'jokes' was a picture! OK, he doesn't make it plain to people's faces that he's not keen on them, but he knows if he did that, tension would creep in. What's the diary room for after all but to let off steam?
