I now have a Harmony 555 and have been able to configure it to work with the FOXSAT-HDR.

For those using a similar configuration, I am sure you had the same problem that some common used buttons were not mapped by default (i.e. replay/skip, media, opt+).

Is there anywhere an updated profile that can be used, to prevent us all from manually configuring the same equipment?

I would also be interested to know, which button you have used for the MEDIA and OPT+ buttons from the original remote.

I have my buttons set on the 555 LCD screen for Media, Schedule and OPT+ up to now I found these are the only buttons I’ve need to add but I’ve only been using this remote for two weeks so far.

The skip forward and back was added to the 555 by using the learning mode.

A common up-date for all HDR’s sounds a good idea but I think you have to use the Logitech server to set the remote up as far as I know, but, I may be wrong.

I sympathise with your problem - I had to program most of the buttons on my Harmony 525 because hardly any were included in the website profile.
However Logitech do seem to update the profiles sometimes, apparently from user versions that have been uploaded to the database. I found improved versions for my TV and Freesat PVR on their website. It could be worth checking from time to time to see whether there is a better profile available.

I tried to reduce the buttons to a minimum when setting mine up. My Harmony is older than the one you have (can't remember the model number but it's peanut shaped, blue backlight) so may not have all the same keys.

Skip forward/back are on the keys to either side of the '0' of the numberpad.

The LCD has Media, Info, Opt+. there must be something else on the front page and menu on the second. I chose not to have a schedule button (press guide/yellow to get there).

I'm still maddened by the inconsistencies in the interface - press red to delete a programme from 'media', press 'option+' to delete an item from the schedule list.....

On my 555 I have Media,Opt+,Text,Schedule on 1st LCD screen & List,Subtitles and V-Format on 2nd screen - seem to remember I had to set up a lot of these using learning mode

I have a 525 (2 fewer real buttons than a 555 I think).

Since the "back" function of the HDR is almost never useful, I've put "Media" on "Prev" physical button for me (for the family its on the LCD as well).

I've put Opt+ on "*" physical button for me, duplicated on LCD just in case the family ever use it.

As someone else mention just learn the skip/replay, it only takes a minute.

Overall this remote is STREETS ahead of the standard remote because the forward/back/play/pause/record/skip/stop set of buttons is big friendly and easy to find. Big pity there is no really good button to put the Media function on, still a vast improvement on standard.

For those wondering what a Harmony 525 looks like see here (555 was quite a bit more £ for 2 more buttons so didn't bother).

thanks guys. have configured the 555 and it is now working. Now that I have the 555, I realize I could as well have bought the 525 instead, as I don't use those two extra buttons, but alas.

The one thing I have not been able to fix, the Foxsat-HDR remote has a quick response, i.e. when in Media mode, pressing Down quickly 8 times, will see the cursor on the screen move quickly 8 lines. With the harmony remote, the response is trailing behind and sometimes missing, say 1 out of the 8 clicks. I have already set the key delay to 0 ms, but that hasn't made it as quickly as the foxsat-HDR remote just yet.

Why don't you use the equivalent 'Programme/Page' up/down button or the left/right cursor buttons as you can on the original remote to jump through the list of media titles?

thanks, I do that as well, it was more to illustrate the responsiveness of this remote compared to the original remote, and ideally I would like to tweak the harmony to match the original one.

I've been using a Harmony 655 for about 5 years now though assorted TV's and STB's, always worked very well once configured. I'm always looking for something newer to keep up the gadget quotient but as yet haven't really seen one that's worth the extra outlay.

Harmony One is always tempting me, but no colour buttons, surely using this with the HDR/Freeview TV is a right PITA?

Worth saying that my Harmony has 2 IR transmitters at the front pointing slightly apart giving a wider spread than a single one pointing directly ahead.

For others, input selection on TV's is often troublesome, particularly when the input is chosen through a single AV button. On my Toshiba TV (32WLT66) I found a great way to solve this but it needs patience. I've set it so it always transmits a 0 button press first, then the required number of AV button presses to end up at HDMI1, or HDMI2 etc. The initial 0 button always takes the TV back to DTV (Freeview) then it's always the same number of presses to any required input. The Harmony way tries to remember what input it is set on, then presses the right number to cycle to the one it wants, this often goes astray particularly if one IR beam is missed (passing children ) by the TV. May help others with this problem?

Yes, that's exactly why I went for the Harmony 885, which does have the colour buttons. Lots of people on the Logitech forums couldn't see this on the Harmony One, and insisted that programming them into the soft buttons was just as good - it isn't.

Been very happy with the 885, and the HDR is much more responsive to it than its own remote - stronger/wider IR signal??

I also have the 885 and have had it set up for the HDR since purchase in November. I stuck the Opt+ button on the LCD.

I do leave the front panel flap down still, as I don't get the response all the time otherwise.

I put Opt+ on the "+/Clear" button (bottom left), and Media on the "E" button (bottom right). I also did put them on the LCD for the family, but they have got used to using +/E now.
