Out of interest though, and not to prove you wrong... I do think most people would disagree about that? At least, in their personal preference.

If Vincent is invited back he will have to reign in his “flirty” behaviour; whether or not we like it, the BBC has to have a tight reign on it’s programmes, and the individuals participating in them – it is still bruised from the J Ross/R Brand saga and will not risk anyone rocking the boat of its flagship Saturday night cash cow programme. Look at the impact on J Ross, he may have dodged the initial bullet but he is still paying a price. It’s all done very subtly. Strictly itself had many production errors; they will not risk any more! How Vincent is on a one to one with fans is unfortunately irrelevant; it’s the millions watching at home that count. That’s who the BBC kowtow to. I'm still of the opinion that he is on thin ice; may be if he's lucky get given a no hoper so he is at least around for pro dances.

Kristina the worst dancer? You are having a laugh! It was her first big break for goodness sake, give the girl a break! The production team cannot share your view, otherwise she and Brian would not have been given the opportunity of so many show dances. The real test for her will be when she comes back, she won’t have the JS feel good factor and, like everyone else, will need fresh ideas on the choreography front. I would concede one or two of their (Kristina and Brian) ideas were straight from the DWTS tour (nothing wrong with that, they certainly worked), but I’m sure she’ll be out there fishing for new ideas/concepts as we speak. I sure as hell would be. I was going to put some of my choreography ideas down but, on reflection, they are scary and probably cause untold damage to various bits of anatomy….. but that won’t stop me…..

Do agree with your points Mickey. I also think Vincent is skating on thin ice. I agree the BBC will be more than carefull with SCD espectially after problems last year.

BBC sacked Angus Deyton (not sure I have spelled name correctly) for having an affair they also sacked a Blue Peter presenter some time ago for smoking pot etc.
On the whole the BBC seem much stricter than say ITV.
We shall just have to wait and see!!

Not so. Angus Deayton was not sacked having an affair. He was sacked for alleged cocaine use and links with a prostitute.

It just goes to show that lots of people make poor decisions in their lives at some time or another. One minute you're making good money in a respectable profession and the next you're involved with a TV celebrity I hope her career hasn't suffered too much

I didn't intend to include Brian in my comment about Kristina. I think that he is a very good dancer. I looked forward to seeing him dance with the other professionals. He was good with Brendan in the Paso routine and excellent with Ola, Karen, Flavia and James in the 'American Boy' dance. These three lady dancers all looked better partners for Brian than Kristina.

He was sacked because he was hosting a program commenting on the news when he was becoming the news for the second time around. Vincent isn't involved with a news program - there are possibly parallels with the Richard Bacon situation but not that many.

Considering there is still nearly five months to go until Strictly starts again, I don't think there's any reason why the BBC won't invite Vincent and Kristina back - they're both very popular after all, and with the public most of this would've blown over by then. And affairs haven't affected the show before, so I can't see why it would this time.

I think you have a good point there... after getting to the finals last year he's due a dud this year anyway...

Its prob for his own benefit and the BBC's that he gets a dud, gets kicked out quickly then can appear in the pro dances and generally take more of a back seat this year...

If he's in the background for SCD 2009, then by the time of the 2010 prog the public will have forgotten about the Vincent-Susan-Kristina thing..

Vincent and Kristina are dancers, it is their profession, they must earn a large amount of money from and/or because of the Strictly show and have dediciated most of their lives to their sport. To not ask them back to Strictly on the basis that they had an affair in their personal lives is absolutely ridiculous. Its like saying that anyone of us on the forums should get sacked from our jobs if we ever have had an affair in our personal lives. As far as I am aware there are no clauses in the Strictly contracts for the dancers and/or celebrities, that they cannot date each other so I really don't see the problem. Worse things have happened with other celebs than this and they didn't have to forfit their jobs because of it.

Another thing that gets on my nerves is, when did Vincent actually ever say that he was engaged to Susan? Did she have a ring, erm no, not that I have ever seen! Maybe they were without a ring, but it seems that the media have made out like they were practically married to make the whole situation seem even worse than it already is. She made the choice not to use birth control exactly the same as Vincent did. Vincent had an affair, it happens all the time to millions of people, pregnant or not. Its a shame, yes definately, but having a baby does not guarantee a stable happy relationship, so maybe they BOTH should have thought a bit more about it before they did it. Vincent appears to have been faithful to Flavia for over 12 years before Susan, so apart from that fact that he is a flirt, actually cheating on someone doesn't appear to be something he has a reputation for. Most of us have cheated and/or been cheated on in the past. Should they stay together if they aren't happy for the sake of the child, erm, NO, that just makes everyone unhappy in the end. I hope they can stay good friends. The FACT still remains that none of us really will ever know what has happened, it could be all Vincents fault, or that a combination of all three of them are to blame for different as yet undisclosed reasons. I don't care to find out and I hope they just get on with the task at hand now, which is actually having and bring up the poor little mite.

As for Vincent or Kristina being rubbish dancers, erm I would really really like to know if the people saying these things have any real knowledge of ballroom and latin dancing?! Their dancing styles may not be some peoples cup of tea but they are both incredible and amazingly talented dancers in different ways, thats why they are ranked so highly and respected so much in the dance world. Don't get me wrong, people are intitled to their opinion, but if some of these people (not everyone) knew how easy they both make very very very complicated dancing look, they may realise they actually look a bit stupid passing remarks about them being bad dancers.

Ok, i dont know how much you know so i will start at the beginning. But i may miss stuff out so i apologise in advance.

It's come out that Vincent and Kristina had an affair during the strictly tour. Susan found out and sent some not very nice messages to Kristina on facebook. Then Susan told her story to the Sunday Mirror and Vincent told his to another paper (Kristina has maintained her silence so far). Kristina as far as i am aware is in America. Vincent has changed his facebook status to single so i doubt they're together. Baby V is due in the summer (just before strictly starts i think ) and Vincent and Susan have been pictured going to a scan so it looks like they're concentrating on being parents.

Back on topic i dont see why they shouldn't be asked back. What has happened is separate from their professional lives and it would be a shame to lose two talented dancers (though i agree Vincent could do with toning down his flirtatious image)

Who knows what’s going on? All we know is that Vincent looks really hacked off in all the recent photographs (with Susan), Kristina looks like a million dollars, out on the town having a blast (good for her) and Susan has wisely gone to ground. Hopefully Vincent and Susan have learnt the hard way to keep their mouths shut. No doubt lots of legal paperwork is flying around, hence sensible enforced silence from all involved. Why bother stoking this old chestnut up anyway, it’s boring as hell. Unfortunately, it will no doubt flare up again once the baby is born and the new series starts.

As for whether Vincent / Kristina will be back. Repetition is the life blood of this forum, therefore:

(a) If Vincent behaves, rebrands himself (ie kills the sleezy flirt act, to say it’s old hat and totally inappropriate now would be an understatement) he has a chance of coming back, but he will have to tread very carefully. He should thank his lucky stars he has Flavia (who really is a brilliant all round dancer), otherwise it would have been a case of exit stage left. He can only rely on the good old Argentine Tango for so long, it gets to be old and stale after a while. There is too much at stake to allow his antics to damage the Strictly brand, (a brand that is far bigger than he is) particularly since they are really going to push the merchandise this year.

(b) Of course Kristina will be back – Strictly are about to launch a whole range of goodies, since she is the one with the most sex appeal (ie that indefinable something that sells, and she appeals to all age groups) she will be back, there’s too much money at stake! Over many a business lunch when the conversation goes all over place, including Strictly, it’s quite interesting the reaction you get if you mention her name. She has touched a nerve and I’ve not come across anyone yet who dislikes her! Now these are hard nosed business people (male and female) who would normally tear someone to shreds, often for no reason, yet for whatever reason, she is universally liked across the board. She seems to have evoked that “feel good” factor – if the BBC let that slip through their fingers they are fools! The same cannot be said of Vincent.....

Plus she did not chose to put any of this in the public domain, that decision was taken by the other two, so it would be completely unacceptable (and commercially naive) if she loses the Strictly gig because of it. The only way she wouldn’t be back is if she takes the decision, for whatever reason, not to come back (although she seems to have fallen for London since she is here most of the time).

I agree no way have we heard the end of the whole V/K and S story,once Strictly starts it will all be brought up again assuming V&K are invited back.One thing Kristina has shown is that new pros are a great addition to the show,and her and Brian really freshened things up,so i think the producers of the show will be well aware of that and may introduce more new pros (hopefully).I think for that reason and also his personal antics Vincent is on thin ice.I personally dont want the show to be about scandal all the time,and with V&K it always seems to be just that.

Oh no, Stu, so bitter and twisted about Ms T! Poor love, I’ve met her, she is off with the fairies more and more (aren’t we all). She is not what you would expect. You have to remember she was in power at a time when it was extremely tough for girls to succeed, especially in politics, so obviously she had to crush a few male bits along the way. Therefore, I cannot lay all the worlds woes at her door, I leave that for Vincent.....
