Ok, just bought a canon a470 digital camera to replace my fuji a 345, with my old camera it was a case of connect the pc to the camera and the pics were in a folder in the my computer, easy to find all the pics.

Now with this camera it asks for a disk and i have to put on tons of stuff, but is there a way round using the disk as im not online at home and tend to use the librarys or families computers. At the library it asks for administrator to allow access, basically i cant just upload my pics like i could with the fuji

Is there a way round this, dont wanna have to put software on, didnt need to with the fuji. Any tips ?

What memory card does it use (SD card?) - you can get a USB reader for the card. Something like this: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...r/Product.html

Most modern computers that work off electric as opposed to gas, generally detect a camera attached to the USB.

Windows will ask if you you wanna 'play' this device, or upload. Just click away on the relevant question.

Or go to My Computer, look for your camera (probably drive J), open it up, and copy the pics to your desktop, by dragging them over.
