Anyone else think the Linda adoration is weird??
Yeah she's nice and everything, but there isn't much personality, she doesn't make me laugh and she's kind of average in the kitchen. I like Ade, his impressions are amazing, he's quick whitted and brilliant in the kitchen... and after he did the Pass last night... I was SO impressed!!
And Niomi is a really lovely girl, I really like her! I had no idea she was so sweet before Hell's Kitchen.

A lot of her supporters grew up watching her in Dynasty, in the 80s she was a mega star. Seeing her in HK is a bit like watching Martina Navratilova in "I'm a Celebrity". Not sure why she is there, but her just being there is exciting. Back in the 80s I always got the impression Linda was a nice lady, so the combination of mega star from my youth and nice lady means she has my support. I agree that she is giving less personality than say Ade, but I prefer her to whiney Naomi any day.

I wasn't around for Dynasty, but all I can see is a lovely, dignified lady who comes across as genuine and sweet! She's the oldest there, and yet she never moans or gives up, and her (selective?) deafness when Marco is yelling for the crab is hilarious!

Why is liking Linda more weird than liking anyone else? She seems a lovely lady, who's pulling her weight, isn't manipulative or a diva and doesn't moan or complain or criticise others. Just like Bruce. Those two were my favourites and I think if Bruce had stayed he could very likely have won. From the remaining contestants, however, I think it could perhaps be Linda and Ade in the final. As for Marco yelling at her, she's not the only one he yells at - he yells at them all.

I was expecting a bit of a diva, but Linda's a real grafter and very sweet natured.

She is a lovely, gentle lady. I find her fascinating because I did watch Dynasty, and her expressions and mannerisims are exactly the same as her character, Crystal. Seems she was playing herself a bit. I keep expecting Joan Collins to turn up as a guest at Hell's Kitchen and end up hurling her crab over the pass at Linda's head.

She's probably the nicest..but I'm not sure if her skills in the kitchen make her a worthy winner....
...although that's largely Marco's fault for not swapping people around to test them all equally. |

I've found her intriguing from the start.
And she's transpired to be a good sport. |

She has worked extremely hard but never whinged like Ade about silly things and, yes, I would really like to see her win. |

Especially if it hit Marco instead.I do really like Linda. I'm a bit too young for Dynasty but all I can see is a sweet woman who works hard and hasn't shied anyway from anything, who never bitches and genuinely seems to be enjoying it. I prefer to support someone like that over Niomi and her 'I want to go... no I don't. I want to go... no I don't. Do. Don't.' |

Joan Collins experience with Linda Evans during "Legends" is hair raising. Here's a link to a copy of the article:-
http://torgen-extra.blogspot.com/200...k-with_15.html You'll never look at Linda Evans the same way after reading this! ![]() ![]() Linda's actually gone up in my estimation since reading this. It's nothing more than Joan Collins bitching about her, and let's face it, Joan Collins isn't the best actress the world has ever seen. She's just her over made up self in everything she does. We don't know what happened on that tour, but it's seems telling that both the stage manager and producer seemed to have it in for Collins. One thing for sure, you'd never see her devoid of make up, sleeves rolled up slogging it out in a hot kitchen, that's for sure. |

Maybe the reason Linda came over here to do Hell's Kitchen is to salvage her reputation in this country after her misrepresentation by Miss Collins.

As lovely as Linda is, I would have been bored sh*tless watching HK if all the celebs were like her. I would like Ade to win because he has made me laugh, he has stood out with his witty humour and has actually cooked during service. Danielle has been carried along by Marco and Linda has prepared crab, I maybe wrong but I am not aware that she has actually cooked during service.
Most of the celebs that have gone, Jody, Grant, Anthea, Niomi have played a part in entertaining me, love them or hate them, they have been involved in arguments and not just faded into the background, for me there is only Ade left who has entertained me so I believe he should rightfully win. Unfortunately I don't think he will though

I don't know about "adoration" but her warmth, unaffectedness and gentle good humour are admirable. I really hope she wins, nothing to do with Dynasty, she is just lovely. I think the rest of the contestants have found her good fun to work with in a gentle way and that is nice to see too.

I fully expected Linda Evans to be a complete diva. Instead, she's turned out to be a hard worker, a team player and very sweet natured. As for her energy levels, I'm completely impressed. She's 66 years old and has hardly flagged. I've also liked her attitude with the younger women - very sweet and motherly.
As for Joan Collins' remarks - SHE'S the diva! You only need to read between the lines to see who is the self absorbed villain of the piece. I like Ade too - he's made me laugh. The best two are in the final and I don't mind which of them wins. |
