I didn't care for her too much,but she was a grafter,and i don't think she deserved to go.

Anthea deserved to be there more than Naomi imo (even though I too don't like her)

Marco's people will be scouring sites like this one to gauge public opinion. He only sacks people who are unpopular with the public.

I'm not sure that's the case he's always given fair and frank reasons if he was going with public opinion he'd of sacked Jodi his first chance. It was a fair decision various occasions Anthea had gone over people saying her way was better. It's all about being an honourable soldier in the kitchen. Also she came across as difficult when she didn't accept Jodi's apology. Although her interview did do her justice and agree Linda has been a very likeable kitchen hand.

I really like Anthea and i wanted her to win she didn't deserve to go last night it should of been either Naomi or Danielle i wonder if marco would of keep them in over Anthea if they had been ugly bints?

I think Anthea should have stayed, I am not sure what Danielle does and Naomi often doesn't want to kill live things which I understand but doesn't seem fair on the others.

Yes I think Marco was wrong to sack Anthea last night - he said she'd been consistent but hadn't improved, er how do you improve if the only task you're given is to cook fennel and asparagus? If she did it well right from the start she had no chance of improving so she should have been given the chance to cook meat or fish and then if she did not improve I'd have agreed with him.

I think he'll have noticed last night that one of the hardest workers in the kitchen had gone and might have been regretting his decision.

I agree Puffle. Marco had said that about Anthea previously that she was consistent but hadn't improved but, as you said, how can you improve on preparing asparagus and fennel?

Even when he put her and Ade on the pass the other evening, Ade immediately took over thus reducing Anthea to status of sous chef but she accepted the role quite gracefully and didn't complain.

She was, indeed, a very hard worker and gave it her all - much more so than Danielle who never, ever worked up a sweat by having to work hard. She merely stayed at the pass with Marco just plating up and I daresay a lot of the others would have welcomed an evening of just doing that but were never given the opportunity.

I agree, I would have been happy with any of them in the final four, they all deserved it. I think on balance I think Anthea deserved it more than Naomi. Anthea is a strong woman and I think her interview was gracious last night.

OMG, it's going to happen...It's Eamon's day presenting This Morning and he's going to interview Anthea, the woman he dubbed 'Princess Tippy Toes' all those years ago!!! Will the hackles be raised???

Yes but at least he was upfront and honest, unlike Ade who was nice to Anthea's face whilst sticking the knife in behind her back and ridiculing her to the others.

He's coming across as being quite infantile IMO.

I felt Anthea and Grant both worked harder than Niomi and Danielle.

Anthea probably got kicked because she really laid into Marco and told him how much respect she lost for him during the Jody incident, Marco wasn't going to let that lie.

If Niomi was going to get evicted the day Bruce went, she should have got evicted before Anthea.
