Sony Dav Dz260 Tv Function

Set up : Sky+HD, SONY DAV DZ260
Connected via Optical.

I noticed when operating under a certain function all speakers can be used , however when in TV mode (when using SKY+HD) all speakers can be used only in DD broadcast.
Is there anyway I can get round this for non DD programmes?. I can't find anything in manual. Any help will be brilliant.

I'm assuming you want to engage DPLII when DD5.1 is not available.

Just had a quick look at the online manual, page 23/25 explains this.

I am guessing that I have to connect via scart from source and unplug the optical cable (as will take priority) ?.

If you are watching TV via Sky then your connections will stay as they are. When a stereo broadcasts comes over you will be able to engage DPLII as per instructions over optical.

If you are wanting DPLII surround from the TV alone and not through Sky then this is a different scenario. Is this also something you are wanting to do?
