I ate a pack of lamb chops yesterday and grilled them but I always eat the fat as its so bloody tasty, especially when its a bit burnt. Anyone else do it?

Always, always, even add some extra fat to it. Ask your butcher, usually he'll give it to you for free because the fat phobics don't want it.

No, never, because I can't swallow it. At the risk of TMI, I always end up hacking it back up again, it just won't go down.
(Sorry. I did say it was TMI!) |

Nope, I like my arteries too much. BUT the cat gets all the fat off meat and bacon as a treat.

Yes.I hate any kind of waste. As a culture,we waste far too much food. The animal was killed for food so it makes sense to use as much of it as possible.

Up till now I have, yes, it is bloody tasty, especially pork crackling and that lovely crispy skin you get from chicken. But I won't be any more as I'm trying to be good and lose some weight

Depends on the type of fat and how it's cooked. A little fat once in a while won't kill you and depending on how you cook it, it's really tasty.
I lurve the fat on lamb chops - especially when the chop is grilled and the fat nice and crispy. I tend the leave the fat on bacon, gammon and sirloin steaks when frying to get the flavour out, then cut the fat away when I'm eating it. In BBQ's, I tend to leave the fat on too. Most of it drips away and helps add to the BBQ fuel, what's left is really delish. |

Definitely, don't know why anyone wouldn't. Pork Belly is one of my favourite dishes just because of all the fat in it.

Every time if it's something grilled or fried. A slab of pork chop with it's fat and rind and bone left in, sometimes a bit of kidney. A steak where there's that yellow fat round one edge that flavours the rest of the meat. But the one exception is Lamb, I have to slow cook it so the fat disappears into the meat.

Nope, not if I can help it; I don't like the texture and nor the idea of all the saturated fat. Give a bit to the dog and some to the pigeons if I accidentally buy non lean cuts.

No, no, a thousand times no! It makes me gag just thinking about it.
On the other hand I will eat the fat on bacon. Consistency is the sign of a limited mind, as they say.

Frequently, especially if it is well roasted and seasoned.

I hate fat on meat and always leave it. However, I do eat the fat on bacon if I've grilled it myself, as I like my bacon charred, and the fat melts in your mouth
