sony kv28ws2u fault

i gave this telly to my sister as i had bought a replacment but it seems to have packed in

it used to take a long time for the picture to come on to the screen although the sound was there. but yesterday the picture went although sound is still on

now this is a old TV but does anybody know if it might be a quick fix fault or throw in the skip job

Sounds like the tube is low emission - does the red LED on the front flash?, and how many times?.
