Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey

Whitney has got the weight of the world's expectations on her shoulders though - we know it will be 10% of the vocal quality that is expected from her, but I'm still hoping for the best!

Mariah needs to either write stuff like the 90s, or do another TEOM!

The ones I'm most looking forward to:

Manic Street Preachers - Journal For Plague Lovers
It will be nice to hear some of Richey's lyrics again after all these years...

The Enemy - Music For The People
I know this one's already been released, but I haven't bought it yet...

Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown

Maiden won't be releasing an album this year, but they are in the studio next January so hopefully next year. Wonder which direction they will go this time as the last album had an anti-war feel to it.

yep looking forward to the following:

Mika - flukey first album or more to offer?

Gossip - Can they deliver a tune to match standing in the way of control?

Leona - Xenomenia and timbaland ...sounds interesting mix...hopefully this will be her music box ?

Little Boots, Florence and the machine - hype? or well deserved praise?

Madonna - Greatest Hits....how is she going to sell herself after such a bad year with the public but high on the success of a big tour? New Tracks? Hopefully more confessions than sticky and sweet....and she should definetly include POP!

Christina Aguilera.... I loved the new versions and new tracks on the greatest hits...hope that her new sound will be electronic dance ...she could beat britney at her own game?

Tori Amos - Abnormally Addicted To Sin..... hopefully as good as ADP.

I'm really looking forward to new stuff from Muse and the Manic Street Preachers (though the Manics' album is online already, I refuse to listen to it ).
I was looking forward to Green Day's too... until I heard the new single. I'm hoping the rest of the album is better than that, I don't like it at all.

They put their new song onto their MySpace and it's very average. It sounds like it could comfortably fit on their last album, which is a bad thing because there's no progression. It has nothing on Standing In The Way Of Control.

I'm looking forward to Voltaic by Björk. It's partly leaked and looks great (it's a DVD and live CD pack).

I'm also looking forward to the new Maximo Park album, but the ne single is not that great so I don't know what to expect.
