Melissa & Tony - A really super Argentine Tango. Lots of really fast slick foot and leg movements. Definitely my favourite dance of the night. [29]

Lawrence & Edyta The best thing about this was Edyta's dress, because the waltz was not good and the judges were kind with their score [21]

Lil Kim & Derek Who on earth did Kim's make up? She looked like a painted doll! The music was dreadful, certainly not a rumba. Good attempt, but not Kim's best. [26]

Chuck & Julianne Samba is a very difficult dance with all its cross & change of rhythms, but this was really good! Def Chuck's best dance - and Julianne had calmed herself down as well, which meant the whole partnership looked much much better. [27]

Ty & Chelsie The judges were kind about Ty's waltz, and if you only looked at his top half then he didn't look bad, but his legs were awful - all over the place! He should have worn the classic tailsuit - it covers a multitude of sins. [24]

Shawn & Mark Apparently the celebs designed the pros outfits for this week, and all I can say to Shawn is "Don't give up your day job!!" Mark looked dreadful, but Shawn's dress was lovely, and they did an excellent cha cha cha. It was a proper routine, with plenty of basic ccc steps. [28]

Gilles & Cheryl Parts of their Viennese Waltz were excellent, but Gilles needs to watch his posture, and there were some timing issues. [27]

Group Dance This was very entertaining. I thought perhaps it would have been the "judges choice" on the results show, but clearly not.

Results Show

This was jammed pack this week! Started with Natasha Bedingfield singing and Lacey and Dmitry dancing a really OTT manic rumba..... Neither they not Natasha were my taste.

Next Burn The Floor Everytime this show does the rounds (and it's being doing so now for at least 10yrs) it reinvents itself, so is always fresh and new. I love it.

Pro Dance Comp to pick new pros for next year [a fun idea]

First couple, who's names I didn't note (sorry) danced Cha Cha; they were ok, but nothing special.

Next were Anna Demidova and Mayo ...?? (Missed name again) dancing Waltz. This was beautiful, don't know Mayo, but is certainly a lovely dancer; Anna is a well known competitor and I've long been a fan. She is a beautiful dancer. Interesting to see what her Latin is like, as I've only ever seen her dance ballroom.

3rd couple: Genya (excuse sp) and Snow. Snow looked familiar, and I'm wondering if she is the same Snow who was in earlier series of So You Think You Can Dance? Her technique wasn't wonderful, but Genya was great.


Last (but not least) "Celtic Woman" sang, while professional show dancers - who were quite stunning - performed.

Of the results, I think the right celeb was voted off, and it's refreshing to see there is no "John Sergeant" syndrome on dwts!!!!!!!

Melissa's Argentine Tango was sensational deserved a thirty imo.

Delighted Ty and Chelsie are still there but I think they're doomed next week

Interesting idea letting the celebs design the costumes this week.

Melissa & Tony - I liked this but hated the music as it was a bit frantic for me. Thought her dress was the right style but too short (think of Cherie's last year which was very similar) - too many knicker moments for me! Didn't think it was worth 29.

Lawrence & Edyta - Good grief! Edyta covered up and then in a beautiful dress - still covered up! She looked wonderful - well done Lawrence! He should take up dress design because he can't dance really. Took too long to get into hold and get going so there wasn't enough waltz for me. I agree the judges were kind with their score.

Lil Kim & Derek - That style of dress isn't really for very shapely women like her as it gapes too much, but the design was lovely. But the music was awful and much too fast. They could have done that choreography - which I liked - to a slow song.

Chuck & Julianne - Loved Julianne's dress but not Chuck's PJs - too much for me. Again I hated the music as the beat was too hard to hear, but he did well with it. Thought three 9s was a too generous though tbh.

Ty & Chelsie - I really liked this! (I must be wearing rose tinted glasses!) Loved her dress and the intro was beautiful. He looks so timid yet caring when he dances - very romantic! He was almost walking at one point though LOL! Plenty of rise and fall. It was like being at a country dance in Texas!

Shawn & Mark - Loved Shawn's dress but Marks 'Michael Jackson' get up was dreadful even if they were dancing to PYT which was a great music choice! I thought the routine was fab and was worth three 9s - Bruno said it was "almost technically flawless" and then gave a 10!

Gilles & Cheryl - The swimming session was a great way of getting the point over of how certain movements should be! Loved her dress with the gloves. Great music but not a great VW for me. Not soft enough and too much out of hold and with airy fairy bits> It looked like he might have done one fleckerl, but it was done badly. It was weird - he kept taking great big steps. Not worth three 9s.

Group Dance - I couldn't tell who was who amongst the women with those wigs! Much as I hate to say it Ty was out of synch at the same point both times they did it - but he was better the second time on the results show! I thought it was a hard dance for the male celebs and they did really well. The VT was funny too!

Great results show this week.

Wasn't too keen personally on Natasha Bedingfield with Lacey and Dmitry - can't Lacey ever dance slowly?

Burn The Floor was amazing!

Out of the new pros I really liked Anna and Mayo (middle pair) - just stunning together and I liked their interview.

Brent & Afton - Nothing special about them - danced to dreadful music and she was so gushing - ugh!

Genya & Snow - Okay, but again no magic - Snow seemed like another Edyta to me and he was a bit like Maks.

Celtic Woman was okay but the pro dancers were amazing although it got a bit 'flingy' at one point!

I think the right couple went home.

Competition is hotting up!

Maybe they edited it out of the programme on Watch, but it was definitely the first dance on the Results Show and Ty was still out of synch!

Must as I like him, I think he and Chelsie have gone as far as they can go now and will be voted out on Tuesday - especially as they are doing a Salsa.

Chuck has improved although I doubt they will win. It's shaping up to be a really interesting last few weeks.

That's more than possible, as it was a very full program. I agree that Ty has gone as far as he can go, and the Salsa will probably be his swansong. He doesn't do anything for me - I think it's the blank bland expression... nothing there!

No I don't think Chuck will win, but he certainly improved this week. I think the "proper" samba beat helped keep him on time as well and Julianne seemed to be back to her old reliable self.
