I need help to connect a Panasonic TX-P42G10 TV (with 3HDMI's & 1optical out), Sky + box (with 1 scart & 1 optical out), a Dell hybrid 4044 pc with blu-ray (from PC World with 1 HDMI & optical out) connected to a Jamo DMR 70 (with 1 HDMI out & 1 optical in).
What I want is to hear what is on the screen in 5.1 plus to switch between the different inputs automatically. If I have to buy a HDS4A-UK how will it work? May be having to buy a multi programmable remote controller such as the Logitech Harmony 885.
Any help will be grateful

You've already sussed that all-in-one dvd receivers like this JVC are pants when it comes to connecting up a real world system, so some sort of multi-switch will be needed.

What you're suggesting will look a bit of a dogs breakfast but it will work. If you are going to have a problem though it will be with the Harmony. I'm not a big fan. The idea about the way they are programmed is clever, but they've never seemed to work consistently or flexibly enough for me to consider them anything other than an amateur's system remote. My advice to you is buy one second-hand rather than pay new prices. Try it and see how you get on.

You'll also need to get the discrete codes for the TV. Stuff like this is usually kicking around on www.remotecentral.com Just make sure that you can paste the codes in to the Harmony programming or else you'll come unstuck really quickly.

Regards
