I've missed 2 episodes sadly. Was Danielle rude to Marco (a summary would be very kind as I have trouble with itv player)? And what was the incident with the trifle ?

Can't give you a summary, as I missed last night, too. However I can recommend the STV player as much better than the ITV one.

Marco chose Danielle's trifle to go on that night's menu. He asked her what she would like to call it. She replied that she didn't like trifle so didn't know or wtte. Marco said "OK, then let's call it doesn't like trifle by Danielle whatever her surname is". (or wtte.)

Danielle then took offence that Marco didn't know her surname.

I think she took offence more at the way he said it than that at what he actually said. If he'd just stopped "I-Don't-Even-Like-Trifle by Danielle," it wouldn't have been as bad. The "whatever her surname is" bit was quite dismissive and therefore kind of rude. It could have been said better.

Unfortunately Marco tried to be have a joke with Danielle about "The Trifle with no name " and the fact that to Marco all the contestants have no surname "e.g. Danielle whatever your surname is...."

It wasn't meant to be insulting.

Obviously went down like a soggly trifle....

For someone who is only famous for sleeping with soccer players, she don't 'arf take offence! I'd never heard of her before this. I had to google her (As I susspect have many a soccer player)
