I wanted Linda to win and was pleased she did. Ade was the better cook in the end IMO but, as it appeared to be a personality contest rather than a cooking contest, the right person won.

I didn't mind who won..but after seeing how happy Grant and Jody were with a Linda win ...I wish I'd voted for Ade.

Glad Linda won. Let's face it, it wasn't really a cooking contest as they seemed to cook the same things for the whole two weeks. New recipes were not shown or introduced into their repetoire. Most celebs seem to have worked on just one or two stations at most. Even the challenges were simple. The cooking seemed secondary to 1. Marco and 2. people running around a kitchen like headless chickens.

Think the whole show suffered from an apparently tight budget, one kitchen only, one main chef only, too much time spent on marco's deliberations at the end of each show, and very little emphasis on progressing with different ingredients and dishes.

In the end it became just a celeb show (albeit hot and flustered celebs) and I voted for Linda because I liked her the most but am happy to concede thar Ade was probably the better cook. Am glad that they both seemed to get along really well; it was quite endearing at times.

They are Vans; Best and one of the cheapest sites to get them from is the following - if you want to wear them without socks like Marco does, you will have to wear them with socks for a few days to "loosen them up" otherwise they will rub terribly - trust me "voice of experience" here!!

Exactly - so maddening that it ended quite so abruptly.

If they hadn't wasted that earlier half-hour of silly recaps from the series, they could have given Linda and Ade time to say a few words apiece at the very end.

Me too, it was like : wait for winner... announce winner... show finished

Exactly, such an anti-climax There should have been a follow up programme on ITV2 like there is with the X Factor etc. It would have been an opportunity to see what was going on behind the scenes and more footage from the kitchen too as the main programme was very heavily edited when you consider the amount of hours a day the celebs were working.

I know, I would agree with that, I wanted to know what Linda was feeling after she won

gutted. i wanted Ade to win.

What a waste of a programme.

We never even heard a word from the winner.

Just popped in to say thanks to everyone for sharing the joys of HK. I didn't mind who won, they were both really lovely entertaining people. I missed the final as I was away and have just caught up on Catch up!

I would have liked to see a bit more cooking and a bit more of what they cooked going on the menu, but I really enjoyed this series. Linda is so ..... well isn't she?
