i meant to say last week that i'm really pleased - i was convinced i'd read the name of the winner of this season in this thread but it doesn't appear to be the case.
probably means it's the winner of the next one mind

Can anyone help, what is meant by 'on order' and 'away'?

I believe that 'on order' is the cue to start prepping the dishes, and 'away' is what's needed straight away. I may be wrong, but that's what I thought anyhow!

don't think anyone is really standing out as a potential winner yet .. it's good so far though.
i love how they say at the end of each episode that the next episode is "the most EXPLOSIVE EPISODE EVER !!"

What was all that acting nonsence with Jean Philippe and the other guy and the cake? I mean were we honestly supposed to believe it? Jean Philippe bless cannot act for toffee.

Liking Robert, he makes me laugh.
I have noticed in general how much the contestants all swear sometimes its a bit much. And the squashing people like flies to win is harsh. Their not coming across as the nicest people, I know its a competition but surely you dont want to be known to be a super bitch, I think their all watching Ramsay and how horrible he can be and thinking this is the only way to the top, unless its all just for show and to make a good programme. I think Paula and Danny are the ones to watch. |

I always wonder how they work out filming the reaction pieces in the "diary room" thing.
Do they set aside a couple of hours and show each contestant the featured clip and get them to react to it as if it had just happened ? Or do they drag them off to film it during service ? It would suggest that Lacey was quite a good actress if she can turn on the waterworks like that after the event. |

Also glad that J and Lacey have gone but surprised to see two booted out in two episodes and a normal 'leave' with LA. |

Did you ever watch the "uncut" versions of the show that ITV2 used to show ? It was basically just an hour of service with no editing and no voiceovers or anything. Quite interesting in a way because it showed you that Ramsey didn't always yell at them and actually did try and encourage and push them. |

Yeah, considering he didn't kick anyone out after J, I thought he'd do the same when he booted Lacey.

"I'm shutting down Hell's Kitchen"
I saw it on ITV2 the other night and even though I've already seen Season 5 this was one of the more hyped up moments of the season

the funny thing is, this is probably only the 2nd series that i've watched of this where i haven't had the result spoiled for me and it's been one of the least interesting.
I half imagine the "shutting down hell's kitchen" goes something like "i'm shutting down hell's kitchen .. for a good spring clean" ![]() (and no, that's not a request for spoilers please )

I was reading actually that there's been a tweak in the format for season 6. i'll spoiler it if you're interested but i can assure you it doesn't give away anything about who wins S5 or even who's in S6 and it doesn't even give away when the 'tweak' will happen.

I don't think you needed to cover the spoiler up considering the others have already told us

If it's on page one then i'll leave it at that - i'll wait for the surprise ![]() ITV just emailed me actually and confirmed they have the rights to season 6 but haven't decided when to show it. if we have to wait another year, and they do two more seasons in the states, we'll be two behind - there was only a 2 month gap between S5 and S6 out there. |
