I have been trying to post on Hummy.org.uk and although I have registered I keep getting message 'You do not have permission to access this page' I've sent several messages to the webmaster but no reply. Anybody got round this?

Many thanks for your help. Hummy admin have at last replied.
It was my own fault that I couldn't post. I registered with Yahoo e-mail address. A senior moment. I'm hanging my head!

I have tried registering with 3 different user names and 3 different email addresses, two from NTL, and one private, all 3 said that I had been sent a confirmation email, which I never received, so I could not validate the accounts. I have sent 2 internal messages via the contat link about this, but received no replies. giltbrook14 was the last user name I registered with if anyone can help.

Me too. If the problem is "fixed", then it's only for some people. I gave an E-mail address on Demon Internet but am barred from posting and have had no confirmation E-mail.
Incidentally, it seems to be getting harder and harder to join forums. I had to try about eight times to join here - I looked carefully at the validation image, typed what it seemed to show, and was told it was wrong. After trying this several times, I was presented with a page with NO image, even though I waited about a minute for it to appear.
Eventually I managed to find an image I could read, and joined successfully. However, I wouldn't describe myself as visually impaired and - as no alternative to the image verification seemed to be offered - reckon it would be impossible for anyone with poor eyesight.

If anyone reading this is registered with hummy.org.uk, could you please post a link on that forum to this thread in Humax Foxsat HDR, so that the administrators know what is happening, and perhaps you could ask them for an explanation of what is going wrong with their system.

If anyone has tried joining hummy recently and posted here after having troubles, it might be worth trying a test post there now to see if their account has been activated. My account has now been activated by Barry, but I have not received email notification to confirm, so others might be in a similar position.

Perhaps you should post the user name used to register on Hummy here, especially if it is different to the one used here, then Barry can recheck.
Lucky man. I tied again this morning to get my p'word, and was continually told that the security word I put in was wrong.
The troubles are a pity because Hummy is a very good forum. Surely by now they must know something is wrong and post something about it. IMHO they are not doing it much good as of new though.

If you look at post #13 above, you will see that Barry (from the Hummy forum), has said he cannot resolve your issue because he has not got your user name, so are you using a different user name on the Hummy forum? If so post it here and he should pick it up.

and the problem is recovery of password and emails advising never coming through, not to mention problems with getting properly input security check rejected.

Sorry. The user name I tried to register on the Hummy forum is John_Gateshead (as on here). I still haven't had a confirmation E-mail and still can't post there.

Thanks to all who helped. I can post now - I'd assumed I would have to have the confirmation message first, but it's working without. Cheers.
Apologies for a 'me too' post - but I'm also finding it impossible to register on Hummy, having been trying for the last week or so. I haven't received the email that was supposed to be sent to me, which means I can't complete registration, and am not getting any response to private messages sent via Hummy. (It may be that the messages aren't actually being sent because it tells me I have 0 'Sent Items' - and I wouldn't have thought the Hummy administrators would just ignore messages sent to them.) Although I'm recognised as a member when I login, I can't reply to messages or send any.
I'd be very grateful if anyone could bring this to the attention of the Hummy administrators, as there doesn't seem to be any way to reach them. My username is the same as here: prinknash.
